Is there some trick to making Nanogroove work or is it that EVERY song I choose can't be found? Everything I enter results in an error (Search failed! (GS_JSON_PARSE_ERROR). Am I doing something wrong?

Yes its the sames as 2.5 except everything works. I'm not sure if the Facebook has been completely fixed in sense 2.5 thats why I said what I said. Its not a chief problem its a port problem.

i also prefer the facebook integration on 2.1 vs 2.5 b/c it works!!! i dont need to see a contacts "facebook album" if it forces me to manually update everyone.

it works like a charm on this 2.1 just no album link

The only mod difference that I know of is Max Manila and it was created to add features to 2.5 that 2.1 has. For example the programs tab, max adds that to the homescreen. Well 2.1 has a programs tab. The only thing it brings IMO is the ability to easily change clocks and I don't change clocks everyday.

If you can get past the "People" & "Internet" tabs not having a grid layout then 2.1 I think is the way to go. It still has or can have animated weather if that's what your really after. Plus all the features work, were there are still some issues with the 2.5 port such as facebook, and landscape.

So in short if you want "everything" to work on your phone (like I did) then my post is the way to go. I talked to SKI and he seemed to feel that if there was enough interest he would cook the ROM that I show or at least something similar. My mods make a basic 2.1 ROM what SKI has done is a ROM that is a little more than stock. I like the stock look so thats what I made.

PS just think reading that is 40 seconds or more of your life you will never get back.

I forgot 2.1 doesn't have Tweeter Tab, or Foot Prints so if you use either of those 2.1 doesn't have it. I do use Tweeter but I bought MoTweets for $3.99 and haven't looked back.

AND I probably shouldn't talk about 2.1 anymore because the thread police are going to lock me up.

For sure I want a phone that works. Even if I find it cool, I can get past the "People" & "Internet" tabs not having a grid layout.
The eye-candy thing I miss is the dual clock setting that I have with Max Manila. I find this setup great. If you come accross something to do that for VGA device, let me know. Do you think that the WVGA version could work??

I think I saw a dual clock for vga, I will look. If the wvga loaded it would be huge!!
