may be a dumb question but why can I see the shortcut icons behind the slider icons. Do I have a setting messed up. I rarely use the shortcuts but I set a few up and now I can see them behind the slider.

thank you so much for the quick response to my question, however i have run into a more serious issue now. my phone randomly turned off and when i turned it back on, it's stuck on a screen that says 'Rotorom' with the default gold gear looking background. and when i went to shut the phone off it will only shut off by removing the battery. please tell me theres a fix for this? :[

It sounds like just a bad flash.
Flash to a Stock rom and then back to this rom and it should fix that.
Those are common error like symptoms of a bad flash.

Did you flip the clock up?
Also the shortcuts are a little low on this NEW Dusk version as it was made for WVGA mainly.

You can also setup the Max option ( noted on the download page ) included in this rom for MORE shortcuts.

alright thank you for the quick response, when the rom was working i must say i loved it by the way!! sadly, i'm new to this whole flashing thing. how exactly do i flash it back to a stock rom? from the instructionsl i viewed i was told i must be connected to windows through active sync, so since my phone wont advance past this screen i'm unaware how to do this. i don't mean to be so troublesome, if anyone could direct me with some instructions on how to flash back to a stock rom, as well as wear to find a stock rom in general? also if it wouldnt be to much to ask maybe some better instructions on how to flash and then install this rom so i dont have this problem anymore?? thanks!!

For anyone interested, I am re-frying the latest rom to include the tether option.
If you have already downloaded the rom and do not use tether there will be no need to re-download it.

Will post back here when it is up.

Not sure what carrier you use but go to the Stock rom thread and find the one that is best for you.

Now on the device press and hold Volume down, Power down and reset at the same time until the tri-color bootloader appears.
Then just connect the device and flash away.

That's because the Slider is transparent and when you slide over the icons a slightly raised version appears in the Slider to give it depth. So that it looks raised compared to all the others. Unfortunately, because it's transparent, this results in the actual icon appearing through the Slider as well.
