Re: [4-18-11][ROM] gingerbread-evo-deck [pre5][1.0]

Went from pre3 to pre5. Wiped cache and delvik, Installed Tiamat Kernel, then pre5, then gapps with talk.

Home button no longer works. I get a vibrate feedback when I press, but nothing else happens. I like your rom, but I haven't had one without any issues, lol.

Not an expert, but aren't you suppose to flash rom first, addons (gapps) 2nd, then kernel?

Only thing I noticed is I've had a couple of slow wakes. Other than that, rom is flying with amazing battery life.

I did a fill wipe and have not had any of those problems. Good luck.

1. Wipe
2. Install Rom and restart normally into the Rom
3. Reboot in Recovery, (you can also wipe here if you want, including user data)
4. Install Kernel, restart into the Rom
4a. Setup your WIFI if you are at home because it will help you download your apps faster once you install GAPPS
5. Reboot into Recovery, install GAPPS
6. Restart phone, run through the GAPPS installation, open market, if you used google to backup your data it will reinstall your market apps.
7. FIX PERMISSIONS via Rom Manager or other root tools with that option
8. Reboot and you should be good to go...

That is how I run through my rom installations.

My thought is if you installed Tiamat first, then Pre5... it probably went back to the stock kernel, but not positive. I do install one after another however and if it works the other way, then great, but Deck placed the instruction in the OP and reboot isn't until step #7. IT seems your oredr is off, good luck.

*Install Instructions*
1. Reboot into recovery. I use Amon's recovery.
2. *optional* make a nandroid backup.
3. Wipe Everything.
4. Flash gingerbread rom zip.
5. DO NOT REBOOT YET.
6. Flash gapps zip.
6a. Flash Kernel *if you are using a custom kernel as Tiamat or Savaged-Zen*
7. Reboot.
8. Enjoy gingerbread!

What is "good battery life" with this rom? 14hours? 24?
