48mbps, your probably in G-Mode. Sure fire way to test it is to go into your routers settings and put it in n-only mode. then try and connect to it.
you should be getting at least 100+mbps near the router.

About wireless N...I have wireless N router and I'm able to connect to it without any problem. Does that mean that the wireless N on the rom v1.5 is working? Also so what should be the speed if the wireless N is enabled and working properly? I'm getting 48 Mbps.

Try uninstall/reinstall from the Market, that should take care of it.

Re: OMJ's HTC EVO 2.1 Custom ROM | Eclair | *Updated | 6/25/10*

Going to need some help for some reason. I hold "Volume Down" and then "Power" to get into bootloader. I enter recovery, clean all the data and then install the ROM. However it doesn't take 2 minutes to load, it takes like 2 seconds... Then I try rebooting and when I get into the homescreen, I can tell that the ROM did not install. Any reasons why?

In case it helps the root method I used was the Simple Root 3 click program. Do you think I need to re root it?

So I am reading that there is an update for the Evo:

http://www.androidcentral.com/evo-4g...-now-available

Should we avoid that or try to install it?

Don't install it, until Ken takes a look at it. Good chance it might break root.

Ok so I got it working. For some reason though my "Weather" isn't showing up under my clock... How do I fix this?

First check to make sure the OMJ zip DL'd correctly, is it 146M?

How exactly are you wiping? Factory reset 2X's and Dalvik 2X's?

Dunno @ Simple root, HEARD there were some issues but don't know what. Don't think you'd get to recovery without a PC without proper root.

Edit: um...nvrmnd
Weather- make sure under Menu/Accounts sync/ Auto sync is selected. The service is a combo of cell tower communication and GPS so it could be your location/network at the moment.

I have used the Toast method/FastRX8's tutorial from the start and never had an issue fwiw.

Hrm just did that and it still doesn't show up. Right under the clock on the home screen it says "My location". Hrmm puzzling indeed.

EDIT: Oh turns out that my location services wasn't enabled. Everything is back to normal. Really do love this ROM. No need for Sprint bloatware Thanks for helping!

Re: OMJ's HTC EVO 2.1 Custom ROM | Eclair | *Updated | 6/25/10*

I am having a rough time trying to get my Facebook contacts to link up with contacts in my phone. I have tried using sense to get linked and am having no luck. I am logged in and tried syncing, but now I have phone contacts and facebook contact on the phone, but in two different screens. Any idea on how to combine the two? First time I have had this problem.
