Here boss. This, for my money, is the best rooting guide.

Flashing the ROM after that is pie. If you need help hit me up and I'll do what I can.

if you really want the rotary lock, you will need to push the attached framework-res.apk, but you will lose battery % & transparent curtain.....next week I'll get w/ amikam & see if he can help me mod this attached framework to include battery % & transparent curtain.
When I push this to my device, my calendar and contacts disappear which are synced through Google. That's a real shame. I like the quick silence feature of the slide lock. I've gotten so used to it. Now I have to teach myself to slide down instead of left to right.

Re: OMJ's HTC EVO 2.2 Custom ROM v4.6 | FroYo 3.70.651.1 | *Updated 3/29/11*

Good stuff.

I had tried various Gingerbread roms, including the latest CM7 build (hey, it's worth a try) ... and I have to say, I do love Gingerbread... but for the life of me, 4G just wouldn't work. It would start, then stop, and would not restart without a reboot, and nobody had a fix. I tried various kernels also, but to no avail. I do have the latest radio, Wimax, PRI, etc, and that made no difference.

I use my 4G connection for home internet, so I need it to be reliable.

This rom may not be GB, BUT it's reliable. THANK YOU!

Looking forward to a Sense GB rom... if someone can successfully combine both worlds, I'll be happy

I'm at 10.5 hours with 15% left...is this the average battery life everyone else gets with moderate use?

That's about what I get. Unplug at 6:30am and use it all day with my BT and lots of calls. I get down to 20% or so by 6pm.

What is using your battery? Seem's like Android System is my biggest battery drain. Anyoine know why?
