I'll try the backup to 4.0 and try from there.

you are trying to replace the new system file with that of an old system. and still retain the updated radio and wimax (4G). You will run into issues.

Moved to 4.2 and now I'm trying to delete this garbage blockbuster. I tried deleting all files w/in root explorer and the app is still there. I mounted r/w and the app still shows up. I don't want this bloatware on here. Any suggestions.

So I tried OMJ's 4.2 and I gotta say I'm getting significantly better battery life than I've had with any 2.2 rom. I've used all day with a few phone calls and above average data- pandora an hour or so and I'm at 18% after placing on charger last night about midnight. I've never gotten this much time from battery since 2.2 froyo. I'm guessing my phone works well with kernel 15. Thanks OMJ.

Ok, so I tried doing a nand restore and now the phone is hanging on the htc evo 4g screen. Am I screwed?

I use titanium back up and I back up all user apps+data on the batch file. I have not run into any issues. I also updated the PRI and Radio to the newest out the from XDA website. Great work OMJ. I love the new Reboot menu.

Back up and running. If I want to do a nand restore, is it good to wipe everything including all data w/in recovery along w/ dalvik cache?

Find a app called system app remover if you are fully rooted it uninstalls system apps just be very careful removing too many things could screw with the rom hope that helps
