Hey OMJ -
Did you see they got a Auto Recovery method available? No PC needed.
It's now an app in the store. "Rom Manager" by ClockworkMod -
My siggy has instructions plus I'm about to upload a video (though it's so easy it's not really necessary)

So what does it mean if SU Request stops responding?
Was working post flash. I set Wifi Tether-always allow.
Tonight I'm trying to run some apps that require root access but the SU Request screen is blank and stays that way until I get a "SU Request Not Responding" error. I have to Force Close.
I thought it was mabe an issue with ATK but I think I've got it set back to a basic, safe kill level.
I uninstalled any apps I installed post-flash, still nada.

Edit: I've also turned the device on/off a few times.
Any ideas?
Edit2: Fixed, see below.

I was just wondering how much storage space is available after the flash. That's really the whole reason I would flash a custom rom. Once all the bloatware is removed, how much space do you have?

Your ROM installed flawlessly - I flashed your rom first then flashed the radio second - that may be why some of the users (the ones who flashed radio first) are having issues

I just saw the final 2.0.2 version of wifi tether is out - I've only been on android since Friday - can someone point me in the right direction to uninstall wifi tether 2.0.2 pre14 (it was included in the rom) and install the latest version?

Thanks

Mule

just install the new one over the old one, works fine....it just replaces the old app with the new one.

Ok, this may have been discussed before, but on OMJ's ROM, there is a Sprint Hotspot app and a Wifi Tethering app...

Which one do i use to tether? Any difference between those two?

Thanks in advance

OMJ...got a new suggestion. Check out http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=699100

It's an improved reboot binary you can build in your next ROM. I had a longer explanation typed out, but the forum had an error when I posted and I lost that post :(

Thanks Freelancerx8 - I wasn't sure if I had to uninstall - I used the Android mate (from the Rom to install from the sd card. my adb connection works but I haven't had to use those commands yet.

Also thanks for you boot guide

Yup, clean as a whistle. Actually YOU wipe the device pre-flash to ensure a clean install.

Yes, just extract the Sprint Nav apk (Droid version of a .cab file) to your card. Then once up and running, open Adroid Mate (included in the ROM) which has a file explorer feature. Navigate to the program on your card, click and you're golden.
Cool thing about Android is you can add/delete apk's from the Chef's zip BEFORE you flash so it gets installed at the get go. Just have to put in in the right folder. Not 100% positive of the path, it's been talked about though,
I'll go see if I can find it and edit this post.
Hope that helps.

EDIT: OK, got it (anyone correct me if I'm wrong) you can put an apk in System>app folder and it should set up with the flash. Or just do it post flash like I said above.

@OMJ-Thanks again Bruddah! Been running smoof all day! Congrats on your Mod status. So you can Mod your own thread? How dope is that? :evil4:

Thanks for the reply but I still have the problem.
1.Do I have to extract the Sprint Apks and load in SD card? I just copied and saved them to my SD card and Android mate file explorer can see the file, but when I double click it, it says Sorry! unsupported application. And I cant see the Sprint Apks in the installer portion of the Android Mate.
Please help

Yeah Bro, extract the apk you want on your PC then put that on your SD card. Should be golden from there.

@All- Lesson learned, if you saw my earlier post about my SU timing out I figured it out :)
SU needs to have USB Debugging enabled at all times, somehow mine became unchecked. I re-enabled it and now I'm back in business! :headbang:
