Re: [FINAL] OMJ's HTC EVO 2.2 Custom ROM v4.6 | FroYo 3.70.651.1 | *Updated 3/29/11*
Just an FYI, They now have root for the Evo 4G Gingerbread with the new bootloader (hboot 2.16). If you're like me and had to get a new Evo because your old one bought the farm, and it came loaded with the hboot 2.16, you were SOL. But now you can be FREE again :) Thanks to Revolutionary for finding the exploit, and thanks to ocnbrze for making this quick rooting guide.

Hi Guys,
I've been running OMJ_EVO_2.2_Froyo_V3.5 for about a year. I just noticed that we are now at V4.6. I think its DeOdexed. Its been a long time. What do I need to do to get to V4.6? Just down load and flash? Here are the other specs: Kernel Version 2.6.32.15-ge2fb08e Build Number: 3.29.651.5 cl252548 PRI Version 1.34_003 PRL Version 60681 Do i need to flash any new radios, wimax, etc? |

The initial flash ran but had a lot of "forced close" so I reverted back to V3.5 then another Nand backup didn't clear davlik or any cache and re-flashed. Everything worked!...al my apps and screens were back as before, and its blazing fast now especially weatherbug photobucket camera 360 etc. I didnt intentionally not clear the caches, just forgot...will this hurt something later? Should I still flash the new radio and wimax at this point? any benefits? Thanks again OMJ! |
