I just noticed that a bunch of apps I uninstalled prior to going to 4.2 are now on my phone again, which I'm sure has something to do with being backed up before I removed them. Also, many of the apps that I did install (like angry birds), and some I've removed but have returned, no longer appear in "my apps" in the marketplace.

Hey omj it seems that thee newer maps update has broken the google navigation... How can we go about fixing it?

Yes backing up and re-installing works fine just not removing

google navigation isa an apk and not a system program...clear your cache or perform a proper wipe upon installing ROM but you should try and reboot phone first....

I had this happen and I went through Google Maps and set the address and then hit directions and it worked fine, Nav took over and worked. I just havent gone back to check and see if it worked just going through Nav.

As far as my wife Evo not restoring. I had to reflash an older radio and OMJ 4.0 and I was then able to restore the point in 4.0 before I updated to 4.2. Took awhile to do but not her phone is updated to 4.2 with the new radios.

does anyone have the htc battery widget (com.htc.rosiewidgets.battery)? it was available after the first time i flashed the new 4.2 deodexed, but something wasn't quite right so i wiped and reflashed and even though i backed it up with TiBu it wont let me restore it, theres a line thru the name on the list and i can't find it in the marketplace

also, how does the 'automatic backlight' function work? was hoping it would be similar to the lumos wizard for winmo (which was excellent) is there an android app thats similar?

Guess newer radios dont play nice with the older roms. Maybe that explains me not being able to do a nand restore.

No but IT IS part of google maps every other site on the net will tell you the same thing since the 5.0 update it stays in "checking navigation availability" its NOT my flash its the updated maps that were included in the rom

No they do not. I updated her phone from 4.0 to 4.2 and updated the radios but did a NAND backup while in 4.0. I screwed up by not TB the apps so I had to backtrack. I kept getting the stuck in the first screen. I reflashed to 4.0 but didnt reflash the radio and again got stuck on the first screen. As soon as I reflashed the radio to the older one, the phone reset and then I was able to go into recovery to NAND restore. Then I had to TB the apps and then reflash 4.2 and the radios. Yeah, ](*,) but all is well and she isnt mad at me that all her info in the apps are not lost.
Thats what I get for trying to update her phone at midnight and tired, forgot a step and spent 2 hours trying to figure out what was wrong.
