Re: OMJ's HTC EVO 2.2 Custom ROM v4.1 | FroYo 3.70.651.1 | *Updated 12/15/10*
Hey there,
I had trouble with wifi teather also, so I deleted it and reinstalled the previous version, now it is working great. My issure, however, is that since upgrading to 4.1 my battery life has tanked. Anyone know why? Help? |

I even updated all my radios last night, but it doesn't seem to be helping. I don't want to downgrade back to 4.0, but what are my options here? |

Hey OMJ,
Maybe you could put this mod in 4.2 deodexed to fix the issue with the framework files of 3.70 ... its JsChiSurf's based originally off a Cyan port ... lots of the theme guys have been using it including Rip and MYN for a while now ... and now he has it updated with 4G and based off 3.70 framework files Only thing would be is that guys would have to understand that they couldn't throw another theme over it unless that particular theme used it as a base (which I think a lot of them will since this mod now has 4G and has already become very popular anyway) http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=877003 Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk

This port is actually a big reason I haven't jumped to 4.1 yet as I am running Rip's theme that has it built in ... and some slayer mods too
Question? If I did install 4.1 and then tried to flash this mod would it work? Or would it not? ... in other words, do the framework files have an odex file associated with them or are they the same as in a odexed rom as they are in a deodexed rom? Sent from my PC36100 using Tapatalk |

(Bump)
I'm still using 1.7 because it renders the best batery life I've ever seen on an evo rom. I can't get more than 3/4 of a day out of anything else. Short of the alarm clock not working there seems to be very little benifit in any of the 2.2 roms when they simply don't make it thru the day. I read where some users are suggesting good battery life and I can't figure out how they do it. Consistently across the board all the roms I try after froyo or 2.1 even are terrible for battery life. They say that you can t use advanced task killer with froyo and supposedly dont need to but why the big difference in between all the new roms and your 1.7 rom. Nothing gives the battery life it does. |
