You guys help me understand this please.
I didnt see Amon's RA Recovery on my phone, although I thought I had it. So i went on XDA and was gonna D/L it but started reading around some first. I went in to Rom Manager and noticed that near the bottom I could not select "Flash Alternate Recovery". So I flashed Flash Clockwork Mod Recovery, now near the bottom I have "Flash Alternate Recovery" and in that it list RA Recovery v1.80 which is Amon's newest version, right? So how did adding ClockworkMod Recovery give me
Amon's newest version? I thought it would give me ClockworkMods Recovery?

well amon put it in there as an update since the clockmod recovery is not deleting the cache and dalvik properly downloading now OMJ will give a shout once everything is done thanks for another one of your master pieces also just a heads up rom manager does not detect your rom to check for updates it did not do it as well with 3.0

Yes, thats the newest RA Recovery...in ROM Manager you can't flash the RA alternate until you do Clockwork the first time. Then you have option of staying with Clockwork or go to the RA recovery. You can also change back and forth after that...your option. As you're probably aware RA does more consistent wipes...

Yup, thats why I was wanting to install RA. Rom Manager was having issues wiping Dalvik

Under what circumstances do you use the factory reset/data cache wipe ?

Also, any chance you'll have new leaked OTA 3.28xxx cooked into a new OMJ Rom soon

Factory reset wipes your data folder all of your apps and other data
and OMJ only builds off official ota's not leaked ones
and hes moving so he wont build one till hes done with that

I only factory reset before a new ROM install or a nand restore. Not saying it's required but its how I roll. I'd rather wipe before a flash to ensure a clean install. Of course there are no guarantees.

Loving this rom....however...im noticing that my gps doesn't stick....it goes in and out of a connection....at first I thought it was the rainy weather...but then the whole week was very nice and clear..and yet it still does the same thing....what can I do if any to resolve this problem...my last issue was today. Right now im using ur latest ROM.....any insight would be great....thanks

Hey I'm running the latest v3.1 Deodexed with KingKlick's BFS #8 and I am getting a full phone lock up every time I plug in the HDMI cable. Is anyone else having this problem? I'm trying to figure out if it is the rom or the kernel.
