Anybody encountered issues with installing clockworkmod from ROM Manager? I have the premium version and I can't flash it. I was able to flash the alternate Recovery but I would like to flash back to clockworkmod to use the options of Rom Manager... I made a search in this forum but I did not get lucky... This is the error I am getting from Rom Manager...

I sekect an option for example "Download ROM" I get a message I have to install clockworkmod, I choose my Phone and then this appears
"An error ocurred while flashing your recovery" I searched over the web but no results for this phone... Any help?

LOL, this is just crazy. Im still not able to update either. Considering trying the unrevoked method but I need a reliable phone. going away next week. maybe the ##786 will work in South Carolina

I honestly think there is more than one way for this to go.
I inadvertently did a hybrid method based on OMJ's steps.
I restored OMJ deodexed 2. 2 v2.1 and used the 786 codes.
I let the phone wipe and reset. (he pulled the battery before the phone reset) Once back to recovery I wiped EVERYTHING. (he didn't wipe the SD partition)
Then I rebooted and had my 1. 40
This was my 6th attempt of various steps.
I think the key is the activation, not the wipe but figured I'd list my exact steps.
If this works for you then I want the bounty (anyone who's read the xda threads gets the joke )
Make sure you have a good signal when you attempt it.

I have two guesses here:
It will work eventually because it can take multiple attempts or cuz Sprint is getting hammered with all of these attempts.
It won't work cuz it doesn't work for everyone, can't explain why not.

Does the camera work fine with the new custom kernal? What improvements are in the new kernal? I tried reading netarchy's post but I didn't quite understand.

yes, I recooked the deodexed to fix the PPCG keyboard (which needs to be activated btw)

battery saver? the only thing I've seen is the joke that squat had.....thx squat
