I second others' impressions that 28011 had the best battery life of the 28xxx series (though i never tried 28002). Still, Rom v1.1 has been too good to go back.

I'm looking forward to everyone's v1.2 impressions.

The download links on the first page seem to be broken?

EDIT: working now, thanks OMJ! :)

Just loaded your latest ROM from today, wonderful job, looks great. but ActiveSync doesn't seem to work. After I launch it, it doesn't allow any configurations.

So I did the v1.2 and was the start button/X switched and changed to the normal start and x bar at the top?

Also, has anyone else had a problem with trying to edit a contact's name from the phonebook? I tried making a change to the name and when I hit done, the change doesn't happen. I have to go to Outlook on my computer and edit it from there.

Edit: I think my active sync isn't working as well, even though it synched my contacts in the beginning, now it won't update them from when I try to edit them from the computer. And the Data connection is turned off but when I hit on it wants me to set up a connection?

Help? I might just go back to v1.1 and deal with the texts showing up black on the threaded view

your next 2 points sound like a bad flash, I've gad activesync not work, then I flashed back to stock and reflashed the rom I was trying to use (was a calkulin rom at the time) and it worked. Are you flashing back to stock before you flash your new OMJ rom?

sounds like you've been using the 6.5.3 anyways, so flash stock then reflash the new 6.5.3 rom he just put up.

Been using since last night so haven't tested thoroughly, but so far the Sense 2.5 6.5.3 28014 v1.2 is SWEET! It has been stable and battery life is great.

The only things I've noticed so far are the locker allowing button presses after checking this morning (which was resolved with a reset), and manila bar coloration going white in various places
(which was also resolved with a reset).

Activesync OTA is working though when I first set it up it seemed to stall and I had to force it to stop, then start again to bring over everything; what was weird was that it didn't tell me that it had to enforce exchange policies - whatever.

I will give the keylock a try later - hopefully that is fixed. If anyone has already tested it please update.

No, ever since I unlocked it a couple of days, I have been just flashing from one Custom ROM to the next but I liked this one so I upgraded to the v1.2. Do I need to lock my phone again when I go to the stock ROM?

no do not relock,

just go to the lock, unlock thread and download the stock rom NBH file, flash that, then when activesync turns on flash your custom

yes, I'm very impressed w/ 28014 2.5 so far, seems like the fastest yet...

for those having activesync issues...I have my exchange account & 5 or 6 pop/imap accounts built during UC. On my 1st flash on 28014 the exchange account did not build but the pop/imap accounts did. I was able to setup exchange manually but it still bugged me. I did a clear storage (hard reset), and then exchange setup fine during UC.....not sure what the glitch was....

yeah especially since we don't even have the program shortcuts on the home screen unless we flip it up, so that little extra space should be fine for call history if they can iron out vga.

regarding activesync, its biotouch.dll combined with the sip that breaks async. I think dareeseboy had issues with this as well which is why he has a sipchange cab workaround as well as Mystery. I recooked last night using one of the 1.5 ezinput sips and its running perfect now.

no, I dont believe so. it looks like he used this with the 6.5 builds. I could be losing my mind so I would curious to hear if anyone else can open async and setup email from there. Not a big deal though, using the kitchen you can deselect the biotouch.dll or pick another sip which I did. :)

Interesting, thanks for the info, I wont include it on future roms.....I only added it to 6.5.

Can you delete it from \windows to resolve?

No problem, I think Mystery, Dareeseboy and Groove have a workaround but it involves installing a sipchange cab everytime you want to change from full q to compact or phone keypad. it works pretty good in Mystery rom. I thought about deleting it in the registry but cooked another one with the black 1.5 sip which I like alot. lol.

Get out of your Sprint contract for FREE! T-Mobile is looking mighty fine right now.....very tempting!

at the very least, we should get our contracts fulfilled:

ugh... I just switched my wife over from t-mobile this week to get her an instinct s30..... Well, we'll see what happens but I am confident(well not really confident but hopeful) Sprint will come out with some devices soon. T-mobile just turned 3g on in Pgh a couple months ago...can imagine that the coverage is not up to snuff.

in any event, thanks again for the great kitchen and roms OMJ! You really kept us going with our Diamonds this year! Happy New Year to everyone and thanks.

I'm not sure why this is a issue w/ HTC people, but you can edit/add contacts via start menu/system/contacts

I'm running the 12/25 Sense 2.5 6.5.3 28014 v1.1. For some reason, received text messages aren't being displayed in Sense in the Messaging tab, but if I click through from there to All Messages in Windows, then I can see them fine. Is anyone else seeing this?

Does anyone have an idea of what's causing this in Sense 2.5? Really hard to use this other method if you are trying to create a new contact from a number that someone called you with.

Re: OMJ's HTC Sense 2.5 & 2.1 ROMs | WM 6.5 / WM 6.5.x | 21055 / 21887 / 28014 | 12/2

Is anyone having issues with 2814 and text messaging. Buggyness of the text input box and the HTC messaging client. It's no different than ARCSOFT's buggies. It would be a magnificent rom since I find it faster than 28008. Only prob is i've gone back to 28008 (without ARC) just for stability. ARC has bugs with 28008 too. So, has anyone baked up a solution? Is there other msgclients to use?
