Your absolutely right! I downloaded OMJ's Kitchen, but it is a little overwhelming. I guess I need to find the time and a good guide to research it a little more. One thing I don't know is how to include cabs that I always install, but are not in the Kitchen, such as Touchpal 3.5 and Resco Explorer, but this is not the thread for that discussion. I'm off to read. Thanks!

SIP - Nikoan89 Compact-Phone Keypad EzInput 2.1.1917.1325.00

You can just grab the patched biotouch.dll from the above post and throw it in \windows if you don't want to reflash or throw it in the "files" folder of the "
SIP - Nikoan89 Compact-Phone Keypad EzInput 2.1.1917.1325.00" EXT and next time you flash it will work fine

Just installed it today. So far it's working great. All my usual programs working. Pretty smooth.

Only thing I have noticed is there is a notification in the top bar(probably new e-mail) but when I click on it nothing happens? In fact if I click on signal meter, battery, or sound icon nothing happens either. Where is the notification pop-up??? If i Click on the time in the corner a task manager pops up then goes away, causing the clock to do the flip thing??

aight folks, those of you using the Sense 2.1 rom and want to get rid of the clock flip, download the " 5fa4d4b7_manila(VGA).zip" file from the following thread..

1. Turn off Sense by going to Start > Settings > Home > Items > uncheck HTC Sense
2. Open Total Commander and navigate to where you saved the file (I saved it to the internal storage root directory)
3. Press and hold the file name until the pop up comes up. Select "Copy/Move"
4. In the file path, type in "\Windows" (without the quotation marks)
5. Select to overwrite the file and once it gets moved, restart the phone
6. Enable HTC Sense using the directions in step 1.

That should do it..enojy!

Hey OMJ im using Sense 2.5 6.5.3 28014 v1.1 and the album shows kind glitchy depending on which way you have the phone oriented. Either way you do it all the buttons dont show. but I like the new album with this rom wit the search engines and the rom in general

I'm not seeing the same behavior on my Diamond flashed with Sense 2.5 6.5.3 28014 v1.1.

Signal meter and battery and sound icons on the top work for me. Clicking them brings up the 6.5.1 style magnified top bar.

Incredibly, clicking the clock brings up the task manager working for me as well, I haven't seen that working without glitches since I switched to 6.5.1. It doesn't just disappear, but instead stays up and I can interact with it to close programs and switch to view memory and storage usage. That's great, since we don't have Showcase anymore. Showcase was just a replacement for that for me anyway.

Clicking a missed call icon for me brings up the Windows Mobile missed calls dialog. Not bad, but I do miss the notifications view.

I think this is the most bug free ROM I've used since I started using 6.5.1. Only glitches I've encountered so far are in the Album, though the glitches I'm seeing are different than what cado33055 noted. When I click into the Albums, I'm in some type of Landscape continuous scrolling view, where the pictures aren't correctly lining up with the borders of the screen, and I need to scroll to get rid of black space and see the whole picture. Also, no apparent rotation of the pictures. Very hard to bring up the buttons as well.

Hi, I followed Aeropatel's steps exactly and clock still flips. I'm using Sense 2.1 28014 ROM. Only difference I changed it to be Sprint specific.

My storage memory seems to keep filling up. Anyone else experiencing this problem? I'm thinking its from the Opera 10 Beta cache, but cant figure out how to clear it. I looked around for a cache folder, but haven't located it yet. Anyone else having this problem, or know of a resolution?

Hey OMJ (happy belated b-day, was on the road for xmas and unable to get online)

just installed your latest 6.5.3 and noticed 2 things

I have an hour drive to and from work that I am a passenger, I play scrabble during this drive

1. I set the dim timeout to 1 minute to give me time to think of words, noticed that after a minute instead of dimming, the display just turns off

2. seems to be running a little slower, some lag somewhere, but noticed that the menus that pop up during scrabble are slow, and the computer thinking is slower when both were pretty fast on your previous roms, will play around with a few things to see if I can pinpoint it

I'm not blaming you or these 2 problems for me loosing 3 games in a row this morning, but I usually win and I think this lagging is allowing the computer to come up with better words and more time to think lol

Try moving your cache to Internal Storage, then delete the existing cache. The link below shows you how.

showcase causes freezing, so I wouldn't recommend it. I am looking at adding XTask2 from MOCEANWU's suggestion. You can also set the hold send key to open task manager instead of rotate screen....that works well. But if u insist, any 6.5.3 rom b4 28014 should have showcase.

I've only seen the BG4ALL mod on 2.5

you are referring to "Notification Enhancement", I see it's missing....will check on it.

The task manager should only stay open if u have running programs. Every once in awhile I'll click and it will stay open w/ no running programs, but usually it will close unless something is running.

well that was one of the reasons I switched to Album 3.2 for the Facebook uploading, but the downside is the picture alignment. To me it's very minor, hopefully someone will have a fix for it soon.

yeah but thats on Android, but it's possible it means it may come to WM too

check task manager & make sure you dont have a bunch of apps running.....the downside to removing showcase is now programs are not closing on X. Using XTask2 should fix this

I made a cab for XTask 2.15 if anyone would like to try. This would be for the 28014 6.5.3 ROM. I'm using it to close apps on X. Seems to be working well. Reboot after install.

1st off Happy B-day, a few days late. 2nd, thanks for the aweseome christmas present. Been using the 28014 release, it is rock solid and pretty quick as well. Thanks again for the new task manager, gonna try it out and see if I like it any better. Thank you for all your work and giving us these great roms. Your the best :headbang:

OMJ, just wanted to add my thanks as well. You made Christmas very happy for me! Anyway, 28014 is really good! Solid, no problems with lockups etc. One thing still remains, though. The scroll wheels for setting appointment times in the calendar still smear something awful. Other than this, the ROM is freaking AWESOME!

Oh, just saw you recently had a birthday. Belated Happy Birthday, man! Hope you had a great one!

Hey I love the new updates on the Christmas releases...
One thing though on the picture viewer where you can slide through the pictures, It cuts off part of the picture on the left portion of the screen, and also has trouble loading again once I exit. On these two builds I tried... Sense 2.5 6.5.3 28014 v1.1 Sense 2.1 6.5 21887 v1.1

That's just the way album 3.2 is since it's ported from WVGA. You can scroll it up to see the whole picture if you want. So far, no one has been able to get ablum 3.2 fully ported to vga.

I changed the cache setting, and deleted the old folder. something is still eating up my storage. I can't seem to find what it is.

Maybe an app? I had an issue with Inesoft Phone 5.x, where it would eat up my storage space over the course of a couple of days.

Google maps/Bing cache can eat up some memory. Also, MMS/email attachments might be getting stored to device rather than internal storage.

:( First bug so far...when you get a text, and tap it in touchflo, it "depresses" but doesn't open the HTC messaging thingy, you have to go to "all messages" then click on the thread and use WM messaging.

Happening for me too, it also doesn't show the sent texts in the threaded view, so I don't know if they got them or not. Album is not working, it locks up everytime. I think I'll go back to 28002 until something new with the landscape view is out.

I've noticed this too. it sometimes takes a few taps for it to open in HTC....maybe there's a sweet spot...

I'm seeing my sent texts in both HTC & threaded messaging. I have never had a lockup using Album, but your best bet is to download my kitchen, load my 28014 templete, and simply unselect Album 3.2, and select Album 3.0, and cook.

easy....from the home screen, tap menu, then home wallpaper, then choose picture wallpaper

first, the display going out was my goof, it was set to 1 minute also, I thought it was set differently

the speed issue though, I did a soft reset, the game was the only thing running and it was still running slow, not as slow but was still running slow (but I did beat it 3 times straight!!! so I guess I can live with it

Did notice something else though, on all the other releases, my people tab was always repopulated with the contacts I put in there, only about 6, but on this one, it only put 3 on it, not a problem since I only have a few for that tab, but didn't know if this was a known problem or not
