Thanks for a nice rom OMJ. Would like to point out that after assigning a security PIN to device (28005), and resetting..I insert the right pin and it continued to the start-up screen and was stuck there; tried this a few times. I did a manual hard reset to fix.

Ok.. Thanks..that's cool for the regular task manager. I found that I can press the right most digit in the clock in the upper right corner, and it brings up the quick task manager, also.

I just wish I liked Opera 10 better. 9.5 just seems so much better right now. Maybe Opera 10 beta 3.

Yeah, I'm with most of you, not feeling Opera 10 at all...much slower than 9.7, mobile sites generally don't zoom, no progress bar in full screen, HTC bookarks aren't linked with the Opera Bookmarks, so you have to bookmark things twice, thumbnails on internet tab don't work...etc. etc.

Trying to better manage the limited main storage memory, 2 questions:
1) when contacts are linked to Facebook, the image thumbs are stored in /Windows/FBContacts...any way to force it to store in internal memory??

2) where is the cache folder for Opera 10? (running 28005 v.1.2)

I have been noticing some poor battery performance with the 28005 v1.2 and also with 28008. I have every automatic update off and every type of connection off. The only thing that I have one that may drain some battery is the auto backlight. Anyone else see issues? Since I flashed to 28005 v1.2 last night I have updated my twitter twice, updated weather a few times and used google maps once and now I am down to 1 bar.

I personally love Opera 10. I haven't had a single issue with it. All the thumbnails work for me on the tabs. Yeah, the HTC bookmarks and Opera bookmarks aren't linked, but I just set my bookmarks to the tabs on the home page, just a single click away after opening Opera. I feel it is much faster and responsive than previous versions ever were for me.

The only thing I cannot get to work correctly is the "My Location". I've gotten it to update weather once, and never again. That was on 28002. I can't get it to work on 28005 at all... GPS works great in Google Maps and Bing, but not for the My Location... which means no weather animated home screen :(. Any suggestions?

How do you zoom on the Diamond with Opera 10. I could almost live with the bookmarks thing..if I could figure out how to reliably zoom. I try taping the screen with no luck.

This is a really cool sense mod OMJ... Lockscreen for manila made by Kisja, really cool animations and locks to the homescreen showing missed calls, messages, and sms (I for one missed having the missed calls on the homescreen).. Has a s2unlock feel..

You just double tap to zoom in.. press the zoom back button or double tap again to zoom out. Unfortunately there is no zoom slider (right now), it defaults to 200%, although you can change it in the settings.

On the contrary, OMJ's 21882 is the FIRST 2.5 ROM I have used that the "my location" weather updates every time (On 3G, not just wifi), its really fast, stable and works fine.

if you are using something other than 21882 it could be the "my location" thing everyone runs into, try adding your city and updating that, it should work every time.

i use a script to toggle between 1X and Ev and i've noticed that the auto update doesn't work if the mode is 1X. I have 'my location' and a city added but they don't update unless the phone is in the Ev mode. I wish there was a reg or mod to have it update in 1X mode too. I do a LOT of texting and keeping the phone in Ev mode eats up the battery fast as it has to switch from Ev to 1X every time I send a text.

didnt realize you were switching between the two (or trying to stay in 1x) I have no idea why it does not update in 1X, but you may want to check and see if other builds have the same issue.

OMJ, I saw that you updated your kitchen thread because of some add on's. I got your latest ROM up until the one you just released. Without having to start over, is there any way to add on the single files you posted into the kitchen thread onto this ROM? Or do you have CAB files I can run. The main things I want are the Task manager, Home screen 12 apps quick launch, and the Websites larger menu,

nevermind..i spoke too soon. It doesn't update when set to Ev mode either. i guess I have a problem with the weather not updating too. I have "my location" turned on, with 2 extra cities added. I have it set to update every hour but it doesnt auto update. but, as soon as I slide to the weather tab, it starts the update process.

come to think of it, I have tried the first sense rom that OMJ relased, the 28002 and the 28005 and none of them have updated the weather for me. I just thought it was because I was running in 1X mode.

My experience has been the exact opposite with weather and my location updates. My Location has been ridiculous about updating. Last week I was in DC and it updated right down to the neighborhood (Dupont Circle, Capitol, Chantilly when I was at the airport) and even now in SF it's doing the same (Sunset, Park Merced).

Still on 6.5.3 28002 v1.2 and I have only one city in there with "My Location" if that helps. It's set to update either every 3 hours or every hour, I can't recall.

Here in ABQ, I don't have very good luck with getting weather updates via "my location". I routinely add Albuquerque both to the world clock and weather, making sure the world clock and weather are set appropriately. Then I have no trouble getting my weather to update within a few seconds of hitting the "update now" button and then the Today tab captures it perfectly. Go figure?

anyone sucessfully use this with cricket? i tried manually setting the connection to work no sucess, tried dcd's cricket cab. and when i setup the network connection in mms options it will revert to (my isp) instead of the customized settings iv setup.

evrius visual kitchen fixes the timebomb automatically when you build a rom. OMJ is using evrius VK as far as I know.

so u see no appointment in calender tab? I'm using 21882 right now but when i was on 28005 i did not see this issue. By default I believe u will see the month view when going to the calender page. if u click on agenda, it will show your appointments. I also believe the calender tab will remember that last view u had, so when u go back, u will see agenda.

I normally dont add to post #1 until it's been tested & running a few days.

I seem to be having a problem setting up email accounts. Once you select one of the four options in the mail tab nothing happens. I've tried a stock install, hard reset etc? Any thoughts?

I'm using 21055 1.2. You can pick a mail provider, it gets highlighted then nothing.

So what's everyone's take between 28002 and 28005.
Is 28005 actually faster. I haven't done any testing but from personal use seems to be about the same except more of a battery hog. Would love to know what others think.

for those of you who have automatic weather update working, can you check the value for the following reg key under HKCU\Software\HTC\Manilla\ : HasSelectedCity

I've gone through the whole Manilla directory and all the registry keys seem to have the right values. Having to manually update the weather doesn't really bother me but now that I know its not working on my phone..I just can't help but figure out what the problem is.

mshnayde, I'm glad you ask this because I was going to post and ask myself. I have been using 28002 and like it very much. It seems fast and responsive, but does work on the batteries a bit (I do sync email using an exchange server, which drains batteries faster). I have not tried out 28005 as of yet, but I'm thinking of doing so. I like 28002 so much I don't really see a need yet. If anyone else has compared both 28002 and 28005, please do provide some feed back for us.

21882 is freaking sweet!

its like they combined the finger friendly features of 6.5.1 with the simplicity and
stability of 6.5. The menus are bigger and everything is so awesome. its fast, battery
life is good, no bugs. 21882 for the win.
