OMJ, any way we can get a more updated known issues list on your ROM for those of us who just drop in to follow its progress so we can determine whether or not it'll work for us in its current state?

If you'd be willing to, maybe we could ask the frequent users of your ROM to help keep the list up to date, by having them add issues by making posts with anything you might have missed?

The 21882 link is down. Has there been an update? I would like to try it out.
Can someone repost the 21882?
Have been running 28005 but the battery drain is killing me. Thanks

enabling lzx compression produces a rom that wont boot for me, I did some searching but can't find the source problem. I would really like to use it as it saves me 22 mbs of space, anybody else run into this situation?

yeah I saw it, but I believe it's meant for gsm....it will most likely break our data arrows
Ya it has the call conference and video call buttons, could also verywell cause the same data disconnect issues that was occuring in the last gsm based rhodium dialer(when used on CDMA devices). Thing is, it has a much lower memory footprint, so I am going to check it out to see how well it works on CDMA.

Anyone have Sprint TV working on this ROM. If so, could you post a .cab. I've tried several versions, and the calkulin fix(which won't install) and get the 7004 connection error after selecting a channel??

I'm really liking this rom! One question- I use Rhapsody to Go for downloading all my music. Since I flashed this rom, my computer doesn't seem to recognize the driver, so Rhapsody won't allow me to download music to the phone. Active Sync works fine...
Thanks!

Okay, I spoke with tech support at Rhapsody, and they said I need an mtp driver for wm 6.5 to be able to download music files to my phone. Anyone know where I can find the right driver I need?

Have you been running into issues where people are getting your messages late or not at all? I am running the 21870 and it has been extremely strange. I have a person getting texts that i sent yesterday.

I am not sure what release I am on, anyway I can check? The Rom date is from November 9th when I flashed. Are the MMS's handled on the Text message page or email page? How can you view them? When I click my text that says like FWD: or image.jpg It just opens up a blank text message box.

You can check your rom version by opening settings>system>about and look for CE OS version near the top.

Wow a month old ROM, in ROM time that's like years :S

it comes thru like a text message, when writing one, go to new and it should have an mms option, if you want to send a picture, click on the envelope and it should have a "send by mms" option

Yeah for me to send one I need to go through menu once in the text message.

Anyone know of any cabs that would fix this?

I was describing that mine is a bit different. But I still have the issue of actually receiving messages. When I get a picture message even after installing ARCsoft, I get the picture indicator at the top, I go to the text tab, click the message (Next to their name is a Paperclip) When I open the message nothing is there.

that's weird, might have something to do with the sys, you're using 28011 right? (because i've seen other people having problems with messaging on 28011 and 28008 at times).

you might try 21882 unless you have to have the BIG buttons, but 21882 is like a hybrid in that the menus are bigger and look more like the 6.5.3 menus.

Unfortunately that is just how it has to be. Even in Manila 2.1 when you hit the paper clip in the Messaging window, it would take you to WM default looking arcsoft. Now if you are saying even when you go into the arcsoft WM messenger and you still arent able to open the attachment, then there is something else going on.

are you saying its a 6.5.x issue or a 2.1, 2.5 issue? becuase i received an mms yesterday on 21882 using sense 2.5 (not titanium) and when I clicked on the message and the paperclip I saw the picture.

In my break down of what he was trying to say was that when he receives a text and goes to the text tab of manila, when he pulls up the Messaging client by tapping on the new message in manila, that next to the message there is a little paperclip icon. In Manila 2.1 when you press on that paper clip it would just open up Arcsoft message client so you could access the pic from there. I was thinking he was saying that in 2.5, that isnt working to pull up the pic.

Well, there already is one at the end of the second post, but it only has one entry!

Alternatively, it seems like a good way to do it would be if we created a master list of known issues, and then each time someone wants to add a new known issue, they copy and paste that whole list, and add their new issue at the bottom. That way, probably every few pages there'd be an updated known issues list.

Hey OMJ,
Is there any reason why you haven't updated the first post and been putting the recent updated roms within the thread? I know I'm being lazy and not looking through the thread, but it would be nice if you could update the first post with the recent changes.

BTW I'm liking the 28005 v1.2 release much better than the 28008 release. Keep up the good work!

I am using WM 6.5 with the Sense 2.5 from OMJ about a month ago rom.

In About is says CE OS 5.2.28002 (Build 28002.5.3.0)

Is there a way to use another sys file without reflashing? Like going to 21882?

And this is what happens. Someone txts me. I see at the top taskbar the yellow envelope with green little circle. I slide it over to the text tab and I see their name the message and a paperclip to the left of their name. When I click on their name it goes into a text message box just like if I was sending a normal text. It doesn't open Arcsoft or anything. Still exact same threaded text that came with the text (So like clicking all messages is more of like a contacts list look of messages). Inside that box though nothing shows up, nothing loads or lets me click anything.

i'm using 28005 v1.2 and I actually have the problem too...

it usually happens if i'm on the messaging screen, turn off the screen (smartlock is set to lock on "suspend") and unlock it to get back to messaging.

I usually hit back, and hit the message again to continue.

I also have maxmanilla 2.6 beta installed (icon tabs turned off, slider turned on). maybe that might have something to do with it. I haven't troubleshooted yet because it hasn't bothered me enough yet.

In my experience it happens when you have too many messages in your inbox. I clear my inbox out every couple days to stop this.
