I've noticed the same thing. Once I change the phone to use only 1x the GPS updates automatically. Can't seem to get it to update when using EVDO.

Any ideas what might be causing this?

I'm running 28014 with Sense2.5

I am getting this too. Two nights ago I flashed back to stock, cleared the internal storage and memory, put everything back on, and then flashed back to this and am still getting this problem. It's more of an annoyance. If I run ClearTemp it seems to help sometimes. I've had this issues for the past few OMJ releases (28005, 28014).

When I flashed this last time I hard reset, flashed stock, flashed omj, hard reset again.

as far as I know this has always been an issue with any sense ROM.

What I can tell you is that so far on 21887 (custom cooked from OMJ's kitchen) it does seem to be working, but then again I've only had the rom flashed for one day. 6.5.x has always had the issue, it has nothing to do with clearing storage or doing any of that as far as I know that all seems superficial, just find the right build that works for you and hope for the best or just add your city and use that instead of trying GPS locate (you're probably in the same city all the time anyways).

I'm running 28014 v1.2 without any problems. It is really fast and I'm getting good battery life. My weather updates without a problem (My Location) and GPS locks intantly. I can't find any problems so far. Been running it for two days now.

By the way, has anyone tried the SIP Swype. I downloaded it last night and it is really cool. If anyone is interested search for the VGA copy in the Daimond forum.

I cook it in to my custom Sense ROM (OMJ's kitchen) and I do like it a lot, once you get used to it you can text so much faster.

How do you force 1X for data rather than EVDO? I would like to try that to see if I can make GPS and My Location work a little more reliably...

Is the HTC text message receiving working for some people? I mentioned a few pages back that I wasn't receiving messages on the messages tab, and someone else said they were having the same problem, but I haven't seen anyone else comment. Seems like a pretty big deal, since I think the notifications for texts aren't working for me as well.

Anyone know if there is a way to "Dismiss all" for reminder notifications on these builds? Seems like the only options are dismiss and snooze.

Using 6.5.x sense 2.1. For some reason my SMS doesn't list in order of received even if I set it to. A couple messages seem to always stick in the middle of the list.

go to settings > personal > phone and slide over to "services" tab. Find "mode of transportation" and press get settings. Select 1x only and you're done.

also, if you want to be able to switch from 1x to Ev more conveniently, check this thread out...

Thanks for the rom! Looks and works great! I've been a longtime MM user lastly MM6 but wanted to try out something new and this is sweet.

My only suggestion would be more explanation between the different OS/builds. You list 4 different versions and with the 2 side by side pictures below, I wasnt even sure what I was testing out until I flashed. 'Sense 2.5 6.5.3 28014 v1.2' is nice, just think the first post might be confusing to new OMJ users. :)

Any ideas on this one guys?

I use the active synce to set up my gmail and calandar. Just flashed this latest rom and when i enter into active synce the screen does not respond to my touches. I have to hold the home button to get out... so as of right now i cannot sync my google account..

ideas?

I'm assumg you've soft reset? (you'd be surprised)

try it on "disk mode" and see if it still does it, it it doesn't switch back to AS and see how it is now. If it still does it on disk mode I'd reflash stock, reflash custom.

Ya tried a soft reset. i had flashed stock then custom on this one to start off with. Tried disk mode, same thing. from the PC side of things i can do all the active sync tasks but from the phone side i cannot manipulate the screen, touching menu does nothing, touch synce does nothing, then im stuck on the active screen.. so i hold home to get out of it... Ill try re flashing to see if that does it...

yeah he posted that right after you, I'd take it as a sign from the gods to upgrade, hopefully one of the "upgrades and fixes" is working phone during AS

Also, what's wrong with not removing Bing? Space issue?

nothing...yes, just trying to minimize the apps, and bing is in the sys, so I forgot to exclude...

I'm out of town, so time is limited....summary of updates:

-many many updated packages from Leo 2.02 ROM.
-fixes the smearing numbers on calender wheel
-fixes the unable to edit/add contacts issue

k..thanks. I wanted to make sure that I was downloading the 6.5.3 rom. Usually they go 280XX so i got a little confused. But i googled it and confirmed that 28205 is 6.5.3.

any 28xxx is 6.5.3, they were going to have to go above 280xx at some point :)

23xxx is 6.5.1 (above 23017)

21xxx is 6.5
