my data is "always on" where the arrows are always white. How do I know if my data connection is actually being used, or are the arrows just always white anyways?

use battery monitor, should be in programs but I'm not 100 sure..if not install it. It's a very small program and shows you the amount of battery usage in mA. with data off and a lite screen you should be hovering around 75 to 125mA. if data was on constantly you would be much higher than this. If you need the battery monitor cab let me know. actually I tried to upload the cab since I had it handy but it's not working right now. will do so when it's working if need be.

edit: cab attached.

Serious question...how do you play games like NFS on the Diamond?!? I can barely play Tetris because the directional pad is pure bull****. And it's not like the touchscreen is that much more responsive.

Is there a way to make it so when I get a new text message, the backlight doesn't stay on until i put the phone back into sleep?

I get texts late at night and my backlight will stay on and drain my battery until the morning.

Thanks,

Mine is on nearly 24/7 too. Would be nice to figure out how to turn this off.. It's like the phone is in connection keep-alive mode or something..
Any suggestions anyone?

1) soft reset and it'll work.. already covered in this thread many times
2) set your time once again, by going to start>settings>clock & alarms

Also if your screen goes black in camera mode, you can just touch the screen and all will be well. I deal with this on a daily basis
