use battery monitor, should be in programs but I'm not 100 sure..if not install it. It's a very small program and shows you the amount of battery usage in mA. with data off and a lite screen you should be hovering around 75 to 125mA. if data was on constantly you would be much higher than this. If you need the battery monitor cab let me know. actually I tried to upload the cab since I had it handy but it's not working right now. will do so when it's working if need be.
