2. How do I get the phone dialer to show up on the front/Today screen without having to go thru a bunch of menus to get the dialer to display. I do not want to hit the hardware Dialer button. All other ROMs I tried have a 'PHONE" selection on the front screen.

(this ROM is amazing. I was happy with MR4, but decided to try our EnergyROM).
BTW
1. Check post #3, you have to run a separate cab for that.
2. Go into Programs, there is one called SoftKey Manager. This allows you to set the left and right soft keys. You can change one to Phone. When you are in the program, pick which soft key you want to change. The phone link is under Start Menu\Programs\System\phone.lnk (browse to it through the program)

I have tried flashing to an alltel rom since I cannot find an nTelos rom online anywhere, including their website. I have previously flashed to an updated Alltel radio rom, then flashed to the Energy Standard. I flashed a couple of different roms from there to test others out and boy do I wish I would have just stuck with Energy's. Now I cannot seem to get it back. I can install the titanium version fine. But the Standard will not boot up.

I have also deleted everything in my internal storage prior to flashing. Should I reflash my radio to the earlier version then retry everything? I'm stuck here and I hate these other roms.

Not sure about using an Alltel rom for an nTelos phone, but try flashing to stock, THEN clear storage, then flash to Energy. Make sure you are doing it in that order.

Well I don't have a "stock" rom so if this thing ever dies, im screwed. I have used the Alltel rom just to see if it works and it does, as does a Sprint Rom. So I used the Sprint stock rom, cleared my storage, then flashed the standard version of EnergyRom. Gets to 100%, the phone reboots, shows the logo, reboots, and the cycle begins. When it shows the Diamond logo it doesnt show the red text at the bottom like a working rom does.

It's only with the Standard version. I cannot figure this out. Is there a way to add the TouchFlo3d back into the Titanium version?

EDIT: I finally got it flashed to EnergyROM standard! There were files missing in the RUU folder. Now I have another problem. When I cleared storage and formatted internal storage in the previous step from the Sprint stock rom, the internal storage is not visible on the phone or from Windows. Like it disappeared. Is there a program/tool I can use to fix this? I need those extra 4 gigs!

EDIT2: Ok I fixed all the issues. For future reference I found the fix here: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?p=438203

Love the rom. I have one issue. I can't get tethering to work. When I go to internet sharing connect is greyed out.

thanks.
It took me a bit to find the softkey manager (located in TWEAKs) folder. Yes, I made the change to the left/right softkeys and changed to "phone" and "comm manager". Save/reboot. During powerup, just before today screen pops up, yes, I see the change (phone/comm mgr). However, once the today screen is fully up, the today screen flips back to "Action/Contacts". When I look back in the softkey mgr, it still says "phone/comm mgr".

One way I got it to work is to check mark "HTC Diamond Mode", then set the left/right soft keys, reboot, all OK.
(however, when you look at the softkey mgr screen, the check mark gets removed from "HTC Diamond mode". Anyways, I got what i needed. much thanks.

MAAAN. Just wanna tell you. It's AMAZING how this rom can help you resolve the most annoying problems of the Diamond Victor... So far it's the best rom that I've used. Now when I receive a SMS/CALL, everything is ok... like a NORMAL phone! haha HTC and Microsoft should hire you.

A huuuuuuuge THANKS!

1x/Ev - Sprint Diamond

Using EnergyRom standard with Sprint Diamond.

- Phone/data always stays on 1x mode. Never flips to Ev.

Searched the PPCgeeks website (1x ev energyrom) and it finds tons of hits, but when I click on many of the search results it says
"Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn't here."

So, can someone tell me the following:

1. Why am I always stuck on 1x mode?

2. The setting to force "Hybrid/1x/Ev" is not there in EnergyRom. Is it not there for good reason? (MightyRom4 had this selection)

you may want to try to update your profile, check out this thread, question 15. there is no reason why you wouldn't be getting ev if you get that service normally.
