Re: CDMA Diamond Radios

if you flash the official .exe rom you will have your radio flashed also. sounds like you got the OS only ROM for your carrier.

look for the one packaged in an ".exe"

*after some searching, it's been hard to find a true shipped rom. If one of the guys in this thread managed to get a proper dump you might be in luck - http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread...250#post573250

Re: CDMA Diamond Radios

I have a question im using a sprint diamond with verizon service and have been for some time now. I recently flashed setix rom and somehow it wipped all my radio settings for example after the flash it changed my phone number to 000-000-1111 i thought i was completly screwed but i managed to get my phone and text working again but i cant get data back for the life of me. My question is if i was to put a verizon radio on there would that help me get my data back?

is it necessary to Update PRL after flashing to a new radio?

its not required but normally suggested to get you the latest preferred roaming list of towers. I have done both, not updated and updated and it really doesn't effect you that much unless you live in poor coverage areas where you roam alot. Then it may be of additonal value.

Re: CDMA Diamond Radios

I have flashed the newer Sprint Radio 1.12.34F_D and it seems good but the phone heats up real quick when surfing the net. Calls are great and bars are the same as the last one I had.

Anyone around Tampa-FL that could recommend the best one for Sprint Diamond?

Thanks!

According to this thread: http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=56611 it would be the Telus radio. Just curious, I didn't see that Sprint version listed on the main page here, is that from the Pro? Pro 2? Does something like a radio file need to be ported to our Diamonds or can it be used from other devices without conversion?

Yes, a radio rom needs to be specifically packaged for the diamond. You should not use the tp packaged version of a radio. The first page just needs to be updated with the latest radio 1.12.34f.
