Re: 5-25-09 ~~Bear-Bonz Rom~~ V 2-8 *Swine-Flu Edition* [Rhodium/Titanium - 6.5 - 212

In my opinion 6.5 is just not ready yet and is very unstable. I have flashed my phone about 20 times with different 6.5 roms and all of them have bugs that need to be addressed in order to be able to have a reliable phone for everyday use. I think it is a waste of time to use 6.5 with rhodium at this time since even the dialer has some conflicts with it not to mention other bugs that just make rhodium and graphics slow and buggy. All cooks should concentrate their efforts in cooking a near perfect 6.1 rhodium with additional featutes and or themes. 6.1 is very very stable and fast. That is my humble opinion.

Then you should have kept a copy of 1.9. Fastest 6.1 ROM I have used. 6.5 has come along way, since the first earlier builds which where junk. But we all have opinions.

Do a full backup then save that backup to your PC. Then do a second backup with just PIM and no text messages. Keep that one on your phone, hard reset, restore PIM and start fresh.

I have had to do this myself. Too many texts eventually slows you down, and who wants to be slow, right?

I did a poll prior to switching to 6.5, to give people a chance to voice their opinions about whether they were in favor of a switch. Since I switched to 6.5 I have become quite happy with it, so it is no longer really up for debate.

I think if you look in the Diamond general forum, or possibly software forum, though there are probably several 6.1 vs. 6.5 threads you could jump in on if you really want to.

Anyone had a chance to use reSTART? Did you find it useful?

Any thoughts on the new sys now that we have been running it for a while? Did I miss any elements?

Those are the main new components of the last release. Any specific feedback is appreciated.

reSTART is for reorganizing your start menu, whether you are using manila or not. I included it because people were having trouble getting their start menu the way they wanted it, however the feature I am really liking is the icon remapping. Check that out and see what you think. Let me know because if no one likes it that is the type of feedback I am looking for.

I am using it to replace some of the crappier looking icons in my start menu.

Were you using it for icon placement? You are saying you set up the icons and then it didn't reorganize them?

Also, did you try the icon replacement feature? Did you find it useful?

Thanks for the feedback... that is what I am looking for. Keep it coming guys.
