Re: How to Build a ROM so it displays your name
By far and away, the easiest way to get started making kitchens is to take someone elses and start modifying it. Making one from scratch is terribly difficult the first time and 99% pointless.

Re: How to Build a ROM so it displays your name
I took the existing WM5 kitchen (utilizing bepe's tools) and worked on fixing the part I couldn't stand (inability to save selections). In reality, I rarely make kitchen bases. I make the tools that work with kitchens.
Truth be told, there should only be one kitchen base per build, which everyone should work from. I suppose a large part of the reason we have so many kitchens is because people insist on using bepe's old tools - probably because there is so much bad advice regarding them - which encourages some very poor practices, in addition to being cumbersome. At one time, it was the only way to do it...but that was a long time ago. These days, anyone who suggests using bepe's old tools is demonstrating ignorance. Let me start off by stating, for the record, that I consider myself a short order cook - at best.
Chef - hardly Cook - give me a break The only thing I can do reliably is fill in check-boxes and click green buttons. Everything else has a level of uncertainty associated with it. Quote:
Well, that's as much a part of human nature as anything ... Best regards, -boggsie
