Thanks, I've used Tweak in the past, but knew it had some issues. Is it fairly stable these days?

Also, I figured out the black bar issue. Had to do with wallpaper I was using. It displayed fine in Juggalo's ROM but had black bar in 4.2 cooked and Mighty.

*IE6 is the same to me scrolling may be a little smoother, but I don't know if that has something to do with IE or the quickness of this new sys.

I'll keep playing with it all day and see if I can break it.

Can't wait to see a build with more elements from 6.5
thanks for the update, test everything u can

Re: [ Jan 19 \ OS 5.2.21109 v4.2 ] Calkulin's Kitchen v1.4, ROMs & Cabs

Tested the preview 4.2.1... so far so good... and youtube actually works for me lol. anyway I have good speed and all basic functions work ie.. text, pictmail, opera, youtube, weather, landscape.

don't see really any surface changes and ie ver is still 6.0 not 8.0 thought it was getting upgraded.

but rom runs smooth and ran smooth the first time around...

using:
-telus manila
-omnia drivers
-no VOIP
-sprint carrier w/ wome personal mods.
-added skyfire and livesearch oems
-currently using sprint 1.11.00F radio

again I have to say great job, don't really know how it gets done... even after reading all the tutorials there are a lot of blanks to be filled in. Your kitchen makes it fun though and lets some of us that are programming challenged play.

Sincerely Thanks

Dan

I'm on the 4.2.1 preview.

I just tried to duplicate it again, this pesky critter seems to have a mind of it's own! I can't get it to freeze again!

I am getting this also. It persists through multiple SIPs.

One other bug I have noticed, which I have seen in previous kitchens I believe... I am not getting text notifications, alarms, etc after the phone has been on the charger. Can be fixed with a soft reset.

*edit* I have a hunch the SIP freezing may have started when we transitioned from 4.1 to 4.2 and the XT9 IME OEM changed to the new default Diamond SIP in 4.2. Can anyone else second this?

I had this happen a few times today. Happens on the QWERTY & Compact keyboards.
Sometimes it freezes for 5-20 seconds, once it froze and slowed everything down to the point where I had to soft-reset.

I can also confirm that it happens on full qwerty, PCM Keyboard and SPB keyboard.

*Possible Bug Report*

Had a unique problem today. Cropped up after sync'ing with my pc. Noticed after being plugged into the USB for about 15 minutes that the battery got very hot. Here's where it gets wierd, I through the phone in my oem case and went about my business. 30 minutes later I get a call and pull the phone out of the case and it is still very hot. Battery is down to 60% after being fully charged. After a soft reset the problem seemed to subside. I will to reproduce the issue and report back.

Again, I'm using a Calcu buillt ROM using the Preview 2 kitchen

Decided to give Calc 4.2 a shot. Liking it so far. Seems nice and quick. One problem though, going to the weather tab in tf3d results in tf3d restarting. Anyone have any ideas?

edit: did a couple soft-resets and it got rid of the issue.
