Re: [ 10-13 ][ v4 ][ 6.5.1 / 6.5 / 6.1 ] Calkulin's Visual HTC Kitchen & ROMs

Calkulin,

If I want easy access to the task manager, with a drop down list of the programs and an easy to click icon rather than clicking and guessing on the clock. What program do I need to install or remove from the rom?

My only complaint of the rom is that I do not have easy access to programs that are running in the background..

Thanks

Tachi dialer has always been a pain for me as well. I recently built a new 21055 in the kitchen, and purposely went with xbmod's 2.0 manila, just to avoid tachi. Talk about a quick, simple rom ...
You do realize that you can use the stock dialer with manila 2.1 right? Calc just enables tachi by default, but you can disable it and use his dialer by going start menu -> system tools -> Phone -> Disable HTC phone skin

Can someone give me a quick rundown of what I need to do to insert the ROM and SYS from a different build into VK? Everytime I try, I get errors when I select the ROM and SYS version before I even start building. Thanks!

here you go - http://www.everythingdiamond.info/sh...1&postcount=53

refer to "Diamond" or "TouchPro" folder(s) instead of "DIAM500" folder mentioned in Soaa's post

What SYS are you using? You might be missing some files yet. Take a look here... http://www.everythingdiamond.info/showthread.php?t=717

He even released a patch to play nice with the new builds. Only problem is you cannot use previous skins made for the tachi port. Its not totally done yet, but at least the main functionality is there. (the swipe down canvas does not work yet for example, but it is responsive and has no dial/close dialer delays, can't tell you how many times I had to soft reset because of the tachi dialer)

try it out, you may like it..

cab install

update to phcanvga.exe (which is the loader for the dialer) for 23017+ builds.

edit: most importantly i noticed that this dialer does not make you press send twice to dial a number like tachi would half the time.(my biggest problem with tachi)
I dont see a link to a cab install for it?

Just to be clear, I want to make sure I'm doing it right.
I'm using Calk's 23069 SYS. What I need to do it:
Copy the 23069 SYS folder into \SYS\
Copy the 23069 ROM folder into \ROM\Shared
Make a copy of (for example) 23065 in \ROM\Diamond and rename it to 23069
Is that it? Does it matter which folder in ROM\Diamond I copy and rename to 23069?
Thanks!

Yes, I know that ... I prefer the HTC non-s2a phone canvas ... use the speaker phone a lot, and it makes it easier. Just a couple of quick taps ...
