It's in the XIP. Extract the XIP from the payload, dump the XIP, edit a file called boot_ms.rgu, realloc, write maps, build the new XIP, insert the new XIP back into the payload and you're set.

As far as speed, that's all subjective, the early 6.5 builds were all dogs, but 21189 was quicker, 21193/21195/21198 all got a little bit faster and more stable. 21202 seems to be about the same speed as 21198, but it should be benchmarked to have more concrete numbers.
Speed wasn't too bad on 21198, although compared to a solid 6.1 sys was pretty clunky, IMO. Lots of little annoying bugginess though, like the tabs in dialogs changing when you don't want them to, etc...

I actually liked the honeycomb menu a lot, or at least the scrolling style and smoothness of scrolling. The screen lock would have been nice, but it caused a lot of glitchiness as well.

I was just asking because I was curious about how it was evolving.

Thanks for the reply.

You just need to place the OEM you made into the OEM folder. Its kind of hard making taskbars into OEMs, if you don't do it right, you will get errors in BuildOS. Here is the OEM I made in case you can't get yours to work.

Re: [ Mar 10 \ OS 5.2.21028 v4.5 ] Calkulin's Kitchen v1.5, ROMs & Cabs

Is anyone else have ringer issues at this point. I played around yesterday with a few different SYS files (from 21028 to 21042) and for some reason, my phone won't ring audibly at all.

If i put it on vibrate, it will vibrate. Otherwise, the slide to answer screen comes up, and it looks like its ringing, but no sound. So unless i'm looking at the screen, i can't tell if its ringing.

I'm using the original Manila engine with Sprint theme if that helps any.

Anyone have ideas what the conflict might be?

Well...i may have found the culprit. if anyone else is still having the ringer issues (ie phone isn't ringing), you may want to try leaving out the 3Row SMS Input. I don't know what there would be any change, but it seems to have made the difference on my build using the latest RC4 Kitchen with 21028 SYS.
