is there any thread that people post their location and their rating of radios similar to the xda ones, but for CDMA?

I haven't seen one. It's either read all of the thread or try them yourself I guess. I liked the Telus radio, but am just fine with the newest sprint radio. I'm in colorado. I don't see too much variation with the radios because I am in a strong sprint signal area. If you are in a low signal area you'll be able to tell the difference pretty quick.

The radio changes won't hard reset your phone, so just flash 'em.

Re: [Jan 15th New Sprint Radio V1.11.00F] Official CDMA Diamond Radio Thread

It seems as if a lot of people on here are anti-Sprint. I have flashed all available radios on here, and after a week or so of having the latest Sprint radio on my phone, I am pleased with it. The Telus radio is good and soild, and the Verizon seems to have better signal, just not as consistent, but I am going to go out on a limb here and say the new Sprint radio is the best one yet. I have had consistent signal and evdo in my area, and the heat issue has been non-existent. In all fairness, I have flashed my rom about 5 times in this period, so it may be a combination of rom/radio, or even the area coverage.
My job takes me to many different sites daily, so I am a pretty good candidate to test a radio, as I know where the dead zones are, and where I can get best signal strength, and I can safely say the new Sprint radio out-performs the others in my area....Just my 2 cents..

Did I mention battery life?<<<<<best yet>>>>>

I usually am screwing with my phone most the day, streaming music, youtube, and games, which usually require a charge mid afternoon. Not a huge difference here. Where I saw the difference is those days I leave it alone. With previous radios, (original sprint was horrible) I could expect 50-60% at end of day with little to no usage. I was surprised to find my charge still at 82% mid-afternoon. I believe this was touched on in post 952-956. Currently I have one bar on my phone. When I go to make a call, my signal jumps to three bars. Seems to me this is what is making the difference.

First, what carrier you on, cuz that is important when flashing anything??? but depending on your carrier and phone do u have? i wud go here and just type in "flash radio (then your carrier)"
to answer, first flash bootloader, then unlocker. now, u can flash radio and rom versions. sounds easy, but read up some more on it before attempting. still need that info to be more useful or search "flash radio tutorial"

Re: [Jan 15th New Sprint Radio V1.11.00F] Official CDMA Diamond Radio Thread

Well, I might as well throw my brief 2 cents in for the 1.11.00F Radio (Sprint)

I made one phone call (5min) and have been tethering for about an hour. Two things:

1. The tether speed is a little slower than the Original Radio with Juicy 4.4 ROM. But it is faster than Stock ROM with original Radio and OMJ's last stable release.

2. VERY LITTLE HEAT. Seriously in the past, I could fry an egg right now on my Diamond......not anymore. It's warm, sure, but not even THAT warm. It's cooler than even my Mogul was.

So, with that said, I'm going to try out the Telus Radio for speed, and pray that it keeps the same lukewarmness of the Sprint Radio.

I'll say this though, good job Sprint. I was seriously worried as I just got my Diamond as was like "This thing's HOT as HELL!" after like a 2 min convo. Not anymore. An hour tethering (Images, Video) and counting. Nice!
