lets move on to something more important. It seems that the mp3/wav thing is the biggest concern with mighty rom. I understand some ppl have this prob and some dont, but does anyone out there know why its not working for only some people? whats the trigger?

i have tried so many different formats mp3 wma wav and all have the issue and i have tried it seems like thousands of bit rates and different setting and nothing seems to work so i know that formatting is not the issue

haha, this is hilarious. this is so much more than pot meeting kettle.

anyway, it's hard for mike to fix a problem he doesnt have. if he can't replicate the problem, it's going to be hard to find the solution.

I think it's too sketchy to figure out right now...nobody's been able to replicate it.

Trident earlier today mentioned Bluetooth and moving between sound levels (vibrate or silent). Opera caused a big problem last summer, but that was fixed by them. Registries all seem to be right and working properly, so who knows.

i wonder if it's carrier specific. for everyone who has this problem, who is your carrier? did you download and carrier cabs or do you just leave the rom as is?

i leave the phone as is, i have never loaded the carrier cab, mike if its because you cant replicate it, then give me your mailing addy ill send you my diamond and it will take 1 call to get it to not ring i got a POS that rings every time that i could use until i get it back

its good practice to not answer the phone when the old lady calls. frankly I have made it a tradition in my household!! LOL. anyway, I hope you guys figure this one out. congrats on your 200. Before you know it, it will be 2k.

A few questions- for those that are still experiencing the ringer issue.

1. Is this issue happening all the time or just sometimes? Is it fixed with a soft-reset? If so, for how long? Try to note what is happening immediately before the symptom occurs, in as much detail as possible.
2. Do you use BT headsets? If so, how many different headsets are paired to your phone at any one time? (NOT connected, just available for pairing.)
3. Do you change profiles regularly? Using the built in changer that just changes volume or some 3rd party app that applies changes to multiple settings? (ie. PhoneWeaver, PhoneSuite, phoneAlarm or any other of the multitudes) When you change profiles, is it using automatic settings or manually or both?

FTR, I don't think that this is really a ROM issue, other than it's caused by a coincidental set of settings and/or circumstances. It does happen with some other ROMs, but never seen it with a non-modded/custom ROM.

@Mike: Can you tell us which BT profiles you use in your ROM? MS, HTC, Cambridge or some other? Looking for some sort of correlation with others who are seeing this issue when using a ROM built with a kitchen.

Kind of off topic but wanted to say I'm loving all of Mike's ROMS

Started with 4.8 and am now on REBORN... So I already had the .wav files on 4.8 so I just used that for reborn and am not having any ringtone issues what so ever.

As for battery life, its excellent!! Even being on wifi for almost an hour and a half today, still have half battery life by the night.

Also wanted to say the battery life is even better than WM 6.5 SimpleRom!!

Definately love the TF3D over 6.5 but love the scrolling and feel of WM 6.5 in texts and files so hopefully Mike sparks something nice for us in the near future!!
