I just re-flashed to sprint and back to 4.8 just because.
It will work until the final 4.9 is released.

Until today. I missed at least six calls today. When I realized it, I soft reset the phone. Same results. Soft reset again. Now it's ringing again. But the battery died so fast that when I just went to try it out, I noticed the phone was dead.
Plugged in to charger- reset.
Guess what?
No ringing.
Other sounds are fine. I can play all my alerts, custom and OEM, just no sound when I select Phone: Incoming Call.
have just started missing calls myself. no ringer on all calls today, all other sounds/alerts are fine, and yes i did the wholeflash sprintstock/4.8 hard reset 3x's lol

Check out my later post (was it in this thread?) where I mentioned that by uninstalling S2U2's latest version, I got my ringtones back.
I have a feeling that it's not just S2U2, as other people never had it installed, but it might be some conflicting code that is in other software.
Try uninstalling S2U2 if you have it- if not, try other profiling or volume control software one by one until you find the culprit. Mike has said that he hasn't been able to find the flaw in the ROM- and he might very well be correct.
[I'm using SensorLock right now- it's not as feature rich as S2U2 or TouchLockPro, but it works well and hasn't messed anything up yet. It also uses almost no resources and seems to be saving my battery almost as well as with nothing installed.]

i got rid of the new s2u2 version and dont have any problems as of yet so i agree with the last post. maybe something to do with the new way s2u2 gives your the notifications? idk im not that good at coding but its possible. im back to s2u2 v0.52e bc it was and is stable on my gfs touch pro with mighty rom so im thinking it will work good on my diamond. she hasnt had any issues with her phone and they have all the same mods to them. so maybe me putting the new s2u2 was the problem, i really dont know but seems to be so far.

I just started getting the "Ringer mysteriously disappear syndrome". I did flashed to Sprint's old shipped rom before I flashed 4.8 so its definitely not that. Just wondering can it be the Airave causing the conflict. Who here owns an airave and also witness this problem.

Thanks. I had the same problem and this fixed it.

It wouldn't let me change volume and ironically my ringtones wouldn't work. But I uninstalled it and it worked fine.

That's the way it should be.

I think it slightly is but it fixed the SIP freezing. You must type hella fast.

4.8 my diamond started to hang/freeze frequent and i'd have to soft reset.
Plus opera would just stall and it would be a pain to work with the phone.
Just a question, any help greatly appreciated !
Try it and see. You might hard reset a time or two just to be sure.

The tsowen taskbar doesn't work for me. I couldn't change volume nor would it let me get ringtones when getting a phone call. It looks cool though.

Try LockMeLite.

It doesn't happen to me so that could be the issue.

I have been running the latest S2U2 since it was release and have not had any issues. You might want to start looking at other software you have running on your phone...just a thought.
