No problems at all with missing calls/ringer corruption/lack of ringer in 4.8, running since first day, more like the second it was uploaded. lol

I have flashed stock, then 4.8, 3x Clear Storage(just to be sure!) and no issues whatsoever. Congrats Mike on the setup speed on your roms because I've flashed several roms, back and forth with 4.8 and yours is by far the fastest and easiest to get up and running asap.

YOU ROCK!!!

Re: [March 25th, 2009] "One Rom To Rule Them All..." MIGHTYROM 4.8 [20771] [UC] [24MB

With 4.7 I was having an issue with my phone getting stuck on vibrate for incoming calls. I changed it to ring, softreset, it would then ring, but not with the ringer I had selected. Then upon using vibrate mode again, it would get stuck on vibrate for calls. I tried hardresetting to no avail. Then I noticed that the "My Ringtones" folder was missing from My Device under My Documents. I added that, and ever since I haven't had a problem with incoming calls. The funny thing is a don't use the My Ringtones folder on the device, but rather a My Ringtones folder in internal storage.

No problems with ringtones here also. I did the usually flash stock/hard reset cycle. I don't use the taskbar icons and I use a custom mp3 ringtone if that helps.

So yeah. I'm at a loss here.
Yep, this is a real chin-scratcher. As I stated earlier, I am running 4.6, pretty much stock, and I have had lost ringtones (but voice mail notification worked), then it will correct itself. And some people (regardless of the ROM version and all sorts of cab installs) will run for weeks and then have the problem, other will have it the same day they flash. So this one is a real bugger to track down.

Just curious...are other ROM's (juicy, etc) seeing the same issues? And do we have any definitive evidence that the stock ROM is not having the issue?

Edit: Also, have we nailed this down to a loss of ring audio vs. a loss of ring volume?

Hi,

I just flashed to this ROM.

So far it is alright. Bit slow at initially loading each tab. Im sure it will pick up speed over time?

Question: why in the comm manager is the turn wifi on or off blurred out?

Edit: HOLY CRAP the gps is almost instant in google maps now! quickgps is also very fast.

Excellent speeds! awesome add ins! Thanks heaps!

still wondering about the wifi blurred out though.

WiFi will be grayed out until you disconnect USB from your PC to the phone.

I guess it shouldn't have been surprising to me when I checked out your blog after reading this post and noticed the label 'conspiracy' is one of your most frequently used. haha
