you should sell shamwows... but if you thank me in the next 20 minutes, cuz you know i can't do this all day, ill cook up a windows mobile 7.0 ROM thatll bust your balls off, lol.

and for the record, i am grateful for what you do, mike, but i strongly feel you have lured us us diamond users with your symbolic carrot at the end of a stick, the carrot being 5.0

sdafasdlkfj, you must be pissed off at all the money you spent buying this rom. Oh wait...

Glad you dropped in mike, so bored around here. We don't even argue without you around...

And no, there aren't any bugs with 6.5, clearly i know that cause of my touch pro rom which is probably the most widely used rom out there. Juicy should know that atleast.

I just don't have the time to do "blind" releases.

I also don't think its fair to the diamond users as well. Cause i can guarantee you right now, It will get MUCH less attention than this ROM does at the moment.
Mike, let me repeat again foir the masses....I LOVE YOUR STUFF!! That has never been in question....MightyROMs are hands down the best out there. But with that said, I was addressing a 6.1 release, not a 6.5. There is a lot of controversy about 6.1 vs 6.5, and it seems to be much about personal preference. I would just like to see a 6.1 FINAL, because I don't think you (or anyone else) will ever definitively nail down the ringer bug.

What ringer bug? What roms have you tried recently that have this bug? Just curious.

*edit* Reason I am asking is that you are saying things like this is hands down the best rom, which it very well may be... I don't know, I really don't have time to try them out much any more... but I'm just wondering what other public roms you have tried lately? Looking at your profile it doesn't look like you ever post in any other thread beside this one. Have you tried any of the other public roms that are available? If you haven't, maybe you should. For all you know this ringer bug may be obsolete and you are beating up Mike, who doesn't even own the device any more to test the thing out, over it.

Re: [ROM] [MAY.04.09] MightyROM 4/R3BORN

Progress....

It's been 6 days since I got the ringtone bug on R3BORN. I (as Curb did) deleted the rings from Windows\Rings then deleted the entire folder (dont know if Curb did that). Then I copied all sounds from "\Windows" to internal storage (to remove system, hidden and read only) and cut those and pasted into "\My Documents\My Ringtones", then changed the ringtone path registry to that folder.

Curb71 and myself are basically in the same boat here, our ringtones are in off shoot folders from the root instead of into the windows folder although not in the same folder. (not sure if that actually has anything to do with it or not though) If it does not come back by tomorrow night, I will cab up my changes and post it, so others can try it. Or they can just do the changes on their own.

Now here is the real progress. I replicated the problem, I think. I got a call, tried to adjust the volume and it didnt work, got the "do the volume" pop up stupid thing, then tried to change my tone and it was corrupted. I soft reset the phone, got the tone working, made a call, tried the volume it didnt work, tried the tone and it was corrupted again.

I made the changes above and got a call, tried the volume, it didnt work, but the ringtones were not corrupted this time when I checked. Progress, I think so, but just when you think something good comes out, it messes up again.....soooooo *Fingers crossed*

other possible thoughts are the audiopara or the raphael audio manager that was added in 4.7 I dont know what the raphael audio manager is though...

I did delete the entire folder and everything inside it.

I also use the audiopara.

You mention the raphael audio manager first appeared in 4.7? Coincedence that that is the version when the ringer bug started I believe....hmmmmm.

I think you should .cab up what you did and for those users that are plagued by the ringer bug they can try it out and see if it works. if it does, then name one thing wrong with R3BORN? Personally I like 6.1 better than 6.5 and would rather Mike go in the direction he is going in. Or whatever he chooses since its his call. I dont understand people acting fed up and wanting a final ROM!? If 4.6 works great for you, what do you want?

Good luck TREmp77!

I'd like to delete every single audio file in the Windows folder but most say, "xxxxxx is in ROM memory. You cannot delete it" did you say you were able to delete/cut them out of that folder?

try using ROM extractor. That is the only thing I can think of that will pull it out.
