Re: [ROM] [MAY.04.09] MightyROM 4/R3BORN

Progress....

It's been 6 days since I got the ringtone bug on R3BORN. I (as Curb did) deleted the rings from Windows\Rings then deleted the entire folder (dont know if Curb did that). Then I copied all sounds from "\Windows" to internal storage (to remove system, hidden and read only) and cut those and pasted into "\My Documents\My Ringtones", then changed the ringtone path registry to that folder.

Curb71 and myself are basically in the same boat here, our ringtones are in off shoot folders from the root instead of into the windows folder although not in the same folder. (not sure if that actually has anything to do with it or not though) If it does not come back by tomorrow night, I will cab up my changes and post it, so others can try it. Or they can just do the changes on their own.

Now here is the real progress. I replicated the problem, I think. I got a call, tried to adjust the volume and it didnt work, got the "do the volume" pop up stupid thing, then tried to change my tone and it was corrupted. I soft reset the phone, got the tone working, made a call, tried the volume it didnt work, tried the tone and it was corrupted again.

I made the changes above and got a call, tried the volume, it didnt work, but the ringtones were not corrupted this time when I checked. Progress, I think so, but just when you think something good comes out, it messes up again.....soooooo *Fingers crossed*

other possible thoughts are the audiopara or the raphael audio manager that was added in 4.7 I dont know what the raphael audio manager is though...
