Re: [March 25th, 2009] "One Rom To Rule Them All..." MIGHTYROM 4.8 [20771] [UC] [24MB

I don't know if turning the ringer off is the trigger. I go to school and when I am in class I turn the volume off and I have not had any ringer issues at all. I am starting to wonder if maybe the ringer is a failing of the diamond itself . I have been looking at other forums and have noticed that the ringer issue is effecting other roms as well. We might all be barking up the wrong tree thinking that the problem is rom specific rather than product specific.

Re: [March 25th, 2009] "One Rom To Rule Them All..." MIGHTYROM 4.8 [20771] [UC] [24MB

I moved all ring tones from Device/My Documents/My Ringtones to Windows/Rings and have not had a ringer issue at all today. On the other hand - since flashing 4.8 my blutooth headset connects to the phone but I get no audio or voice command out of it - it just sits there connected - any ideas? I've checked all my bluetooth settings and voice command settings but I can't find anything wrong. No sense in looking like like a dork with a blutooth ear on when it doesn't even work!

Edit - this appears to be a headset issue only. I tried another and it works fine.

as of this point in time turning my phone to vibrate through the settings tab then waiting a few mins then turning it back on worked out fine but idk if its gonna work the next time. maybe like i said that if we are using downloaded ringers as our ringtones then maybe those are the problem? idk we shall see if my phone rings again after i run the test one more time. so far so good though. but maybe it was just our phones are not a fan of downloaded ringtones? like i said i get a error that i am not able to download from myxer.com. but why does my gfs touch pro not get the bug? arent the basically the same phone touch pro with just a keyboard? thats why i think it could be software issue in the rom bc its not happening to that phone. whats in or not in our roms that are different regarding ringers wise? just a thought.

I could agree with your assessment but for the fact that people have reported fixing the problem, me included. I will keep testing to see if it really is fixed though.

The 4.8 rom default action for the send key is rotate screen wheras it used to be voice command, i changed mine back to voice command.

like i said so far so good even set it to vibrate let it sit for a little while then set it back to normal and no problems so far maybe the bug is dont set to vibrate via volume rocker or icon on screne go through settings tab and set it that way?

My reasoning behind my idea is that the problem is sooooo sporadic and doesn't affect all, or even most,. that it has to be a hardware rather than software issue. This issue has never happened with me, but I am die hard to this forum and will continue to try to figure this out with the rest of you. EVERYBODY deserves a happy diamond with a Mighty rom!

googled htc diamond not ringing and people were saying its due to a sim card error but we dont use a sim with sprint. so idk how that would be a problem then. idk i just hope we find something and work this out my phone is less then a month old and really dont wanna go through the hassle of getting a new one.
