I've done plenty of reading, and have been using these roms for quite a while.

Yes, hard reset was done after flashing ROM.

4.6 is still quirky. Of course, much better than stock, but still, something happened. 4.5 was super stable.

All I can do it hope for 4.7...

Mike, while I love your great work, 4.6 is definitely a battery sucker. Not sure if it's wi-fi or what, but this version definitely drains the battery faster than in previous version.

Something is different. 4.5 did not have this issue. (I know some of the other ones ex 4.2 or 4.3) had the same battery drain issue.

This is not to say the battery is draining faster than "normal", but rather the tweaks in 4.5 that made it last longer seems to be gone/not as effective.

I really hate to be a squeaky wheel, but I've searched and I don't know how to switch the text message storage upon doing a restore. Could anyone please point me down the right path?

Thanks.

quick question, did you just say your not sure if it's wifi? I hope you dont expect good battery life running wifi? On the other comments, Mike and others dont have a problem with constructive criticism but it needs to be worded properly. I think Mike, Lilrico and 99% of this forum would help if you just say what your issues are and not that Mike's rom is "quirky" or a battery sucker(I know, you did say it was a great rom but battery sucker?). Who knows why some are not getting better battery performance. Well it could be because we are flashing so much we dont give the battery time to drain and recharge a few times which is recommended. It takes days to really get an idea what the battery life is and lets be honest, what ppc gets good battery life? I personally have 3 chargers for this reason. Mike knows what needs to be addressed. Plus he is trying to support two different devices at one time. While Mike's working on a new release, maybe just go back to 4.5 if you feel it more stable. I would use 3.9 again in a second and that's why he keeps them up so people have a choice. sorry for the rant but that's my 2 cents.

I agree with these comments. I am running 4.6 and have my phone off charger all day browsing, probably an hour total talk time, Google Maps, etc and my battery life is still 50 percent plus at the end of the day. As I previously stated, I think in some cases the poor battery life can be attributed to the battery's normal life span, in other cases (as also previously stated) it may be something like Beam that was inadvertently turned on. But consider this--I'm not sure how many people are running 4.6, but I can count to one hand the number of users that are complaining about battery life. Seems like if this was a consistent problem with everyone who is running 4.6, we would see a lot more comments.

I don't think you can. BTW text messages take up next to no room.

Not a noob here; I know using wi-fi all the time is a battery drainer, however, it performs well in standby mode and occasional use.

Wi-fi is also quicky in 4.6; again, this is a comment based on my use and the fact I've used MightyROM for several versions.

As for taking three days to figure out battery life, I beg to differ; I can see the difference same day (from 100% charged).

I know I can go back to 4.5 if I wanted, it's not so horrible that I want to do that.

I think people are getting a little too sensitive - there's no need to "protect Mighty" - he's a big boy.

If I could provide more details, I would (and will). Again, the issues are somewhat random, which makes it hard to track down.

For example, Opera crashes/shuts down sometimes when it's loading a page and and swipe on the screen. Back to the Today screen, and I have to relaunch Opera (reloads). This is something that I cannot duplicate consistently, but does happen every so often.

Obviously, he can't fix every quirk - in some cases, it's a problem with the app version. That's understandable. I'm just pointing out some things that are problems.

Again, these are "small" things, but annoying. But Mighty still cooks the best ROM out there.

It's like getting the hot chick in bed - you know you are lucky, but she has an annoying giggle that is irksome. You ain't kicking her out, but it does detract from the moment.
