Re: How To: Kitchens

Well, I've designed my rom using kitchen v3.00, Sys 20757 v3b, and OEM 2.03. I added the cab for tt-7. It's all set up to flash my Sprint Diamond, but I'm chicken to pull the trigger! I've flashed many other roms before, but never my own! Can this "brick" my phone or will it inform me if there is a problem during flashing?

just make sure you've unlocked, then if needed you can just reflash from bootloader

Thanks Puff, I am unlocked. So if things go badly, I can reflash Juicy's ROM from bootloader? What is there to worry about?!

Re: How To: Kitchens

Using ONLY the tools in the kitchen provided, there should be no way you can brick your phone.

This includes adding any of your own OEMs, files, regedits.

Re: How To: Kitchens

Volume button related:

I just got home and was about to flash again to another cooked rom using V2.03 Kitchen, 20755 SYS and the new 2.03 OEM. That for me would rule out if its the new OEM or the NEW SYS Modules (already tried 20757 and 20934 using v3 kitchen and 2.03 OEM and both had the problem. I already tried using an older OEM with either of the SYS modules and the problem persisted. I may be absolutely wrong (I'm shooting blanks into the air) but I'm guessing its XIP related?

Tobey; got any input or observations regarding this?

Re: How To: Kitchens

No problem with the volume button in 20757 v3b for me. I had problems in 20931.

Re: How To: Kitchens

Weird... I'm gonna give the v3 Kitchen w/20757 SYS another try tonight, re-extracting everything. Last night I cooked a ROM with v2 Kitchen and 20755 SYS with the new 2.03 OEM and left it over night and no problems whatsoever. Gonna do the same test with 20757, total weirdness...
