Re: [09/08/08] JUICY ROM v1.06

Also, any voice GPS applications being bundled in? I think Garmin and TomTom both need to be put in there.

I just somehow got a lock on all GPS apps (Gmaps, live and Garmin. Haven't put the map for TT yet since it might be HUGE just like the 1gb NA map for Garmin) and I love what Windows Live had on it. Movies, weather, etc. Too bad Gas Prices didn't work, maybe they should have a "Gas Station near me" locator.

Hi Juggalo_X,

It's the ability to run a different Calendar and Contacts app through TF3D, instead of the MS versions.

By default, TF3D Calendar & Contacts buttons seem hardcoded to run MS versions.

Personally, I would replace it with Pocket Informant. There are others too. But anything is better then the default MS Calendar crap.

So the goal, is to have those buttons map to your own apps, instead of what TF3D forces you into. As it currently stands, TF3D doesn not read the links from registry or anywhere else it seems. So am not sure where it is hardcoded exactly. But there must be a way. Hence my thought of modifying the \Windows\Calendar.exe ROM file.

The leaked Diamond manual for Sprint, thankfully we can replace it when Juocu creates a ROM for us!

Ah, good call. Personally, I don't like the Calendar and Contacts app myself. Sometimes I even hate that getting to Contacts list view is like 2-3 button clicks.

Will the Calendar and Contact sync with Exchange, etc on other stuff? I'm not sure if you'd be able to backup/restore using Dashwire with this new app though.

you could try removing the "calendar.exe" from the rom and renaming your calendar of choice to "calendar.exe" and putting it in the rom along with any DLL libraries it needs.

Total Commander and/or Resco File Explorer should work...
