Re: [3/23/2010] MikROM [Sense 2.5 | 21897 / 23549 | Real WM6.5 AKU | Lite & Standard

The latest 21XXX standard seems really snappy, the battery life so far is the best I've seen. I'm excited, BUT, there is a bug in the picture album, the icons are blurry. I'm scared to complain about it because the battery life is so freaking good and the performance is awesome....... What to do......

I saw the same issue with SYS23549 as well,
otherwise, everything so far looks good with the Mar23rd ROM (Sys23549)

Amikam - Just wanted to say thanks for everything these last few weeks with your efforts. I just got an HD2 so I'll be getting rid of my Diamond soon, but I really appreciate your ROMs and your continued support

Good luck to all you guys, I'll still keep checking in here periodically.

some are saying 21897 is slower than 21895... but i think they are the same...
as for the album thing... i think i changed a regedit... so ill check again and see what i did and change it back... maybe it will fix it, although it gets fixed by it self after i push on it again(first time blurry second works good).

hd2... fun... i wish i had the balls to switch to tmobile... but personally i think they really really suck, but i guess if u live in a city area u should be fine with tmobile. but the hd2 is definitely making me envy you a little...

mmm... some are saying its really good for them... and some don't.
i saw something on xda saying that sys 21896 is the better one... but i only had a test version out for that since sys 21897 came out like 5 hours after 21896.
personally i think they are pretty much the same as far as speed but battery is better with 21897.
anyways... im not sure whats up, it does seem as if for some people it works and for some it doesn't... i think i will never understand why that happens.
i never flash to stock before i flash a new rom, and i must say that some flashes seems better than others... even if it is the same version...
maybe try to flash it twice, or maybe if u flashed when your batt was too low that messed something up.
another option could be, but probably very rare, is that u had a bad download or that while u flashed the computer was running too many other programs and such.... im not really sure how that would actually effect it, but i come from a time when we used to make sure to not run any programs and even disconnect from the internet if we just wanted to burn a cd... so maybe being extra careful and minimize the tasks that the computer runs might have something to do with it.
i wish i had a clear answer to why things happens different on different phones... but i dont really know... im just assuming.

Amikam,
Your efforts are greatly appreciated!
This is a little off the path, but I notice with 21897 lite that the screen sensitivity is less sensitive. ie. I have to press harder and the touchflo isn't as smooth... maybe something to do with the locker (that wasn't on 21895)

T-Mobile is actually pretty good here! There's 3G coverage everywhere and I've been testing data speeds all day - been averaging around 1200kbps pretty consistently. Sprint only got me around 500kbps..

Not to mention the no-contract option was pretty attractive for me, I can leave anytime i want and get the next greatest phone.

Anyhow, good luck to you guys and thanks again for all your hard work Amikam

bare with me a little... im uploading an experimental version with some new things in it.
its a light version based off of 21897 and 21896.
i thought ill mix them up to see what happens since they didnt include all of the same packages in them...
anyways.. i added a tweak that saves all of the albums catch to storage card instead of device memory... which will save us probably like 5mb atlest if we have like 20 pic on the device.. so thats good, and hopefully the probalem with the album will be fixed... ill upload it anyways to see what u think.
check the download section in like 30min to an hour... i hope that will be better than what i got up right now.. but only time will tell.

Could be the new phone... I've noticed a big difference in speed between the Touch Pro 2 and the Diamond in the same location using Sprint...

Re: [3/23/2010] MikROM [Sense 2.5 | 21897 / 23549 | Real WM6.5 AKU | Lite & Standard

ok... so the htc album tweak that supposed to switch the catch to internal storage works... but doesn't eliminate all the catch from being saved to device... so i guess its worth it. even though it got my highlights in the album menus all messed up... but its an experimental version... so its ok.
the speed seems better... but i can't be sure.
album thingy got fixed... so thats good.

anyways... guys... please opinions on the speed and such... so i can be sure it's worth my time to make a non experimental rom out of this.
look for mikrom_exp in the downloads.

thanks.
