How is 21890 compared to 21897/21899; any noticeable differences? Mind posting your 21890 rom/sys? Thx in advance.

i think its pretty much the same... seems a little faster, but i guess every rom seems fast as soon as u flash it.
never really had much time to test it all the way... and it didn't come with voicecommand so i took the one from 21899.
one issue with giving my sys is that i erase files and modify some of the .provxml files, like shortcuts and some settings...
but if u don't mind figuring out the missing shortcuts and files your self ill post it exactly the way i use it.

I know what you are saying; didn't really see that much difference between 21887 and 21889 either. Had some other things I wanted to try so figured I might as well go with 21889 also. I guess I'll hold off on recooking till I have more of reason. Thx for your generosity though.

Tried it. Installed and updated both the PRL and Profile. Not sure which fix you were talking about but neither worked. It actually, if anything, made the GPS on Google Maps worse as it now shows me in Downey rather than Long Beach... lol

Just flashed the Lite Rom (MikROM 21890 Lite (February 1, 2010).7z), working great so far Didn't see the Sprint version from Feb 1st though.

Will keep testing and report back with issues etc.

A couple questions:

1. How come I can't turn off the vibration when you push keys on the SIP keyboard? The setting to control vibration isn't present.

2. A couple times when I unlocked the screen from the Manila Locker, it showed me a hybrid of the locked screen and the actual homescreen.. ie it was showing the slider at the bottom and I could slide around to different tabs, but on the home screen it showed the notifications of SMS, missed calls and emails etc. And there was no system notification bar and battery indicator and start button up to etc - that whole bar was missing like it is on the lock screen. Also, I couldn't swipe down at all from the home screen, it was stuck. Seems to be a bug. Also one time it did not pain the slider icon when resuming from lock, it just made a white square instead of the slider.

Also, anyone have any recommendation of which version of Opera 9.7 is better? There are a ton of them listed on that XDA thread referenced in the 2nd post. Thanks!

1. in 1920 u dont have that in the settings... not sure why... u would need to change it through a reg edit...

"VibrationEnabled"=dword:00000001
change the value to 0 and vib will be gone.

im reverting back to an older version instead of updating to 1921 cuz that the only one in which i could get xt9 mywords to save custom words. will update soon. i personally going to keep 1921 to myself cuz i dont care about editing mywords and i think it is much more responsive which means i can type a hell of a lot faster without it missing a char since i was going too fast... u might know what i mean.
to please everyone i need to let go of some of my own preferences and release something that works for everyone, or at least most people.

edit: good news... seems that the work on porting is going on right now... if i would have to guess i would say we would probably have a working version in a week or two weeks max (but thats a guess... could be sooner could be later, my bet is on less then a week... but we'll see)

I will make that regedit and try the unlocker settings. Also looking forward to the port of the new 2.5.

Are you releasing a Sprint version of the new lite rom btw? I've only flashed the current lite version on my test phone so before I flash it on my everyday use phone I need to be sure all the Sprint related functions will work.

Reflashed up to today's update...still having problems adding T9 words and Google Maps still shows my location wrong. But I'll have to chalk up the GPS thing as Google's fault because the Sprint Nav works fine. Google's maps just look so much cleaner and I haven't had a problem with GPS before now. *sigh* Oh well.

The T9 is still really bugging me though. I've been looking and looking for ways to fix it to no avail. >_<

might be a silly question but did u turn on to use the gps on google maps. i know it usually just uses your cell signal when it starts off not as accurate as when u turn on the gps.
