Re: Customer Service HORRORS! share your story

Why does everyone think that flashing ROMs has to do with dying keyboards?

is it because everyone is reporting it? well, everyone on here flashes ROMs.. so...

I just don't get the connection people keep making.. it's just software. I highly doubt the drivers for the keyboard 'break over time' only in custom ROMs....

so, to those with funky keyboard issues: open the back of your phone and look see if the cable is actually still connected. I bet it isn't..

Re: Customer Service HORRORS! share your story

the problem is not caused by flashing roms.....if you take a Tp with the keyboard not working issue apart you will find that the ribbon that connect the top half of the phone to the bottom half of the phone has been scraping against something...the coating scratches off the ribbon and reveals the wires causing the keyboard to short out....so dont critisize us for flashing when it is actually a problem with the manufacturer of the phone

Re: Customer Service HORRORS! share your story

and to chaos...two things for you one why would you not bring the phone into a tech center where they would replace it and your account would not be charged? two how can you expect someone to send you a 600$ product and not charge you for it until they recieve the product they are replacing?.....also you have 10 business days before the phone is charged to the account so if you send it in the return kit the day you get the phone you will never even see the charges...ive done this replacement like 15 times...i have 5 phones on my account and have never had a problem with being charged the full price bc i got the return in on time...

21.6% of your posts are you *****ing about people using custom roms. That was an ACCURATE statistic at the time of this post! Thought you might want to see some real statistics for a change.

Fair enough but i think scrotum had a point, it is HTC that has the faulty components used in the phone, and i did not blame customer service for a problem, because i did not cause the keyboard to stop working, but customer service did however fail to clear my charges on the replacement phone as well as allow another charge for another phone to be placed onto my account, meaning that clearly they are not checking each account properly and ensuring they are up-to-date, you can agree with me on that atleast. now i see no where where i have caused a problem, i flashed my phone correctly each time. worked perfect and if you also check other forums, many people are having this keyboard issue, with the pro as well as the mogul BOTH HTC phones. i think i have made a valid point there. would you not agree?=D>

simply because i live in a backwards place called mississippi (military sent me here) i cannot bring it to a tech center because they do not exist here as i stated in an earlier post. just read back a few and you will see man, it's just kinda difficult to have those resources like you, i would have done that if i could but i do appreciate the input dude. you guys are jumping on me like customer service pays your bills lol man i'm just telling my story that's all, no need for the hating peace brothers peace (can't we all just get along???)

thank you so much for pointing that out man i needed some facts and you did just that, seems they are not getting the point here. but yes in my reading i have came to that very conclusion and you pin pointed it greatly. so i wonder what HTC is doing to fix this for future builds of the touch pro. once again awesome point made man. thanks=D>

Re: Customer Service HORRORS! share your story

i can only say good things about the service i have gotten. i had the mogul and i had problems with it.. i got the pro for no charge and without having to extend my contract. i had problems with my 1st pro so i got another one... well i have problems with this one... i called sprint and explained my problems ( keyboad).. they mailed me a new one but since im stationed in Puerto Rico right now i had to get it mailed to my house in VA and my wife mailed it to me today.

you have 15 days to send the other phone back which i plan on doing.
