Don't listen to them. They're just telling you that to discourage you. Your refurb Mogul will eventually crap out (if it even works when you receive it) and they will eventually have to replace it with a Touch Pro.

You have to play it cool with Sprint. If you even hint at wanting a Touch Pro, they will flag you as an upgrade fisher. It's probably too late for you now. They have probably noted your account that you are trying to get a free upgrade to the TP.

For others' benefit, ABSOLUTELY DO NOT MENTION AN UPGRADE AT ALL!! Just tell them that what is wrong with your phone and that you need it replaced. You may get lucky and get a TP. If not, it won't be long before your replacement Mogul craps out.

yea i realized that could happen and i was careful not to be obvious but in the end im sure its too late for me. what about if i go through asurion? do they always replace the mogul with the TP?

ya i think im outta luck with my vogue to i was hopin maybe through the advanced exhange i could gte an upgrade to the diamond but idk i think ima just order a refurb cuz i don think this will happen anytime soon

Whether you go through Asurion or Sprint, it all comes down to what they have in stock. If they are out of Moguls then they have to send you a Touch Pro.

Well look at it this way, the Mogul will probably have white spots the second you turn it on. BAM! Give it some time and the keyboard will stick and the sync port will flake out. You'll get a TP soon regardless and once it's done, the ESN of the phone is different so if they are keeping track, their counter should reset. But gbm is right - play it cool. I made a point to reference the fact that I didn't want the Vogue and had to have a Mogul when it was replaced the first time in-store. I saw the guy typing and then he asked me why I needed a Mogul and I said I needed the keyboard, but I had to have Windows Mobile too. He mentioned that the TP was coming out in a month or so, but I specifically said I didn't care about upgrading... more typing and then I had the replacement Mogul and I assume a nice little note in their system that I wasn't fishing for a free upgrade. When I called in a month later to deal with tech support about data provisioning, the guy said they were sending out a brand new phone and he specifically stated that he would make sure that it had the keyboard. I never told him that I HAD to have that, so I think he may have seen it on my account notes.

well my 3rd replacemnt mogul from sprint was a piece of crap...

the touch screen didnt work right n it kkept shutting off on me..called em up..told em about the time i was in for 2 hours a few days ago..n told em about the 30min activation of replacement phone...and they said we are sending you a touch pro instead for free.

:) cant wait! should be here saturday hopefully

Can you cancel an online claim through asurion at phoneclaim.com? I know you can cancel an advanced exchange from sprint but i didnt know about asurion. I have seen that if you do you have to continue you it and cant start over

So I got my touch pro on the mail yesterday with a 2.2 lb and I was surprised they were kind enough to send an extra battery. The phone is new I check the ##778#. Now is time to cook!!! I order on Saturday night and missed the first delivery so technically it was delivered on Tuesday. I will be sending back my mogul :(...

all you luckers who got TP's ruined it for someone like me who actually needs one. my 4th mogul (3rd refurb) is out for delivery at 0.4 lbs. so unhappy :( and im most likely flaged as an upgrade fisher now that i've complained. looks like ill just be waiting for the palm PRE with problem riddin moguls to constantly flash. someone please send me a TP for heavens sake

my friend , you so far are very lucky ... i have had 6 ( thats right 6 ) moguls swapped and the last time was told by a sprint accoutn manager that they would not swap me to TP and didnt care if they lost my business..One the phoen with them for days and days .. getting hung up on beign told they didnt care for my business .... so wen i saw this i called the insurance company and they swapped me for a Diamond, its not a TP but im out of the Mogul world ....

I hope they get beat fro every mogul out there ..they should recall all of them and replace them with TP ...
oh yeah and im ont he SERO plan and yet still im treaded that way ....
