PPCGeeks - Upgrade To Touch Pro Free!!

Does anybody know or has anybody ever tried getting a mogul off of ebay and then trying the advanced exchange for the touch pro. Will sprint let you get insurance on a phone not bought directly from them?

If you already have ESRP or TEP on your account you dont need to buy a phone from Sprint to get it replaced by them.

As long as you have ESRP or TEP any phone on that line will be insured

i tried to do the self service thing on the internet to get the touch pro for my mogul...it tells me to go to the nearest sprint service center....am i doin it wrong...what way do i get the phone for free of my insurance

I took my mogul to the sprint store and told them my keyboard light isn't working and they told me my new touch pro will be in in 2 to 3 days. I am enjoying it now. I have the $7 insurance.

You said that they are crediting your Sprint ACCOUNT not your CREDIT CARD.

Actually, I didn't pay one cent for them. Nor did I pay one cent for the original Moguls they swapped out with touch pros for me :)

They have already credited back my Sprint account for the entire purchase amount of the two Touch Pros and now I have an $850 credit on my account and won't have a cell phone bill for a long time :P

Therefore, I technically/literally got two Touch Pros for FREE. NOT ONE SINGLE CENT WAS PAID FOR THE DEVICES FROM THE START :)

That being said...

You know I didn't pay a single penny for two Touch Pros right?

my $0.02... I haven't paid for a new HTC phone since I got my treo 700p swapped for a ppc6700. I used the phone to death, and when I went through replacements, i got upgraded to a mogul, then a TP. So - i fully agree that if you are actually using the phone for a while, and it just isn't cutting it anymore, then by all means take advantage of TEP and ESRP to get the phone upgraded. But - when people are questioning how they can buy a cheap old phone off ebay and upgrading for free, or breaking a perfectly good phone on purpose to get a free replacement - that is where it goes from gray area to fraud. And That is partly why deductibles go up and why it is hard for people with legitimate problems to get taken care of. I'm all about the deal, but - there should be a line drawn somewhere... (Steps off soapbox and waits to get flamed...)

You did technically pay for your phones which was credited onto your Sprint Account which will be there until maybe 7 months? lol Depending on what plan you have. If you didnt pay a cent then you will have still paid for your rate plans and add ons and etc.

So in the end you just pre paid your account about $800 and some dollars =]

But congrats on the new phones :D
