Here's my story. I took my phone into the local Sprint store after Christmas. My Mogul was not holding a charge at all (literally 1, 3 min call... 50%). Also... my d button was sticking. So they exchanged a battery for me and told me they were ordering me a new phone. I waited until today (1/25), calling a few times per week. Finally today, they tell me they have my phone... it's a refurb Mogul. I told them "no thanks" and called *2. Talked to a representative and told them my story. In the meantime, I dropped the call. I call back, they tell me they were sending me a brand new TP... that it would be here 2-3 days. That was pretty simple.

I must say... this was the nicest Sprint has ever been to me on the phone... EVER! Very apologetic and were quick to fix the issue.

Here's the question... am I really going to like the TP as much as the Mogul? Sure... the Mogul has issues... (I'm on my 4th one), but... I loved the phone. So... what can I expect from the TP? Similar to the Mogul?

Any clue as to WHY we are suddenly able to get a replacement phone? I never paid for insurance. I had called in the past and threatened to cancel my service because of the problems with my phone. All they did was ask what date I wanted it canceled as of!!! Now THIS? I just got my confirmation of a TP for $55 using the online method! They wouldn't even give me a DISCOUNT OFF OF RETAIL the last time I tried! What gives?

Well, I just got done with the claim on my mogul through sprint. My confermation shows I will recieve a touch Pro with no addtional charges.
I pay for the TPS plan and have been having problems with my Mogul.

Here's the problems I've been having.

The USB port now only charges and will not connect to my Laptop for internet sharing
I can see a faint bright spot as mentioned in other threads
The phone will not power off using the power button anymore..very odd
The phone will sometime vibrate for a meeting and not stop vibrating untill I reset the device (good for the wife but not me:)

u will love it just as much. its the mogul on steroids... literally...

its just superior in almost every aspect yet still the same... its like a new girlfriend she looks better handles better cleans better feels better and doesnt piss me off as much.. i loved my mogul. but i love my tp more 8)

i thanked him... honestly i think he should have like thousands... since he let everyone know about this... otherwise a lot of us would still be living with our moguls... while a nice phone... had a lot of things lacking. I honestly liked the phone, but I removed my insurance so I was just saving money for when i hit the 2 year mark to get some kind of upgrade discount... this helped immensely.

I've been asking Sprint to swap my mogul for TP months ago, but I got no love, So I went ahead and bought the TP from best buy for $199, after reading this thread I called sprint and complained that I should of waited till the mogul is out completely and exchange it, the rep was good to me and credit my account $50, the mogul was sold for $150 + $50 credit, Profit $1 lol

A billion-million thanks to orionsbuckle for this little piece of info! I have been enjoying and flashing my new TP.
My Mogul had a whole slew of problems and I was a few days away from renewing my contract to get a new phone but now I can stay out of the nuse that I call a Sprint contract.
