Heck charge them $40 a month and they can pay for part of your plan! Your doing them a favor saving them money!
I have a corporate discount that I can apply to the $69 plan, but I may consider this for me, my mom, dad, brother and sister (5 of us total).

If all 5 of us end up going in on this (name/code of plan), how much does EACH of us pay each month, and what does each line get every month?

How does my corporte discount affect this family plan?

Can I add the $10 EVO tax to individual lines, or is it a "ALL or NONE" choice and every line must have it?
Does the $10 EVO tax get the corporate discount?
Does the $7 insurance get the corporate discount?

Thanks.

Re: Upgrading from $30 SERO to Evo 4g...Best Plan?

Upgraded from my $30 SERO plan to Family Plan $109.00 + $10.00 per line (premium charge) , second line being FREE and 3rd + line $14.00 additional.

For $129.00 a month, I went ahead and purchase TWO EVO's.

I get 1600 minutes to share between the two and everything else FREE

** I will try to hack my continues 32GB Mod to the EVO **

Re: Upgrading from $30 SERO to Evo 4g...Best Plan?

So it seems like the best way to get a deal is to go on a family plan. Would anyone be interested in possibly partnering up and getting a family plan? This is just an idea i'm throwing out there for now.

I have been putting off making the switch to Android for two reasons, mostly because Sprint will not allow me to activate an Android device without upgrading to a different (more expensive plan), I have also been waiting on Sprint to launch a android device that is ground breaking enough to lure me away from my SERO plan...the EVO is that device.

My question is, when I am forced to change plans, what is the absolute best plan that I can get that will be somewhat comparable in value to my current SERO plan?

If you are not familiar with the $30 SERO plan, I get 500 anytime minutes, unlimited nights and weekends starting at 7pm, unlimited text, and unlimited data. I never go over my 500 minutes b/c I'm mainly a texter/data user.

I'm sure there are plenty others out there wondering the same thing as me, so any help here will be greatly appreciated!

EPRP, it's $59.99 for 500 mins instead of $69.99 for 450 mins. Plus you get transfered to employee customer care if you ever call with any issues.

It is considered the replacement plan to SERO $30. You may also qualify for a reocurring $20 credit for 2 years, if you ask nicely.

With taxes my SERO $30 came out to $43, my EPRP is $53 and since I got the EVO, they've added the $10 Premium Data to my plan.

But consider this; the EPRP includes "any mobile, any network, any time", so essentially all your calls to any mobile phones are free any time. You get unlimited MMS/SMS and data, plus access to the more robust data servers. Nights & Weekends start at 7pm. Essentially similar to SERO for $20 +/-.

hope that helps,

-CC

EDIT: YMMV, try these;

Re: Upgrading from $30 SERO to Evo 4g...Best Plan?

I had to dump my $30 sero -however I changed my plan via echat. I called in to do it first buy they didn't give me clear answers about keeping perks. The chat however I have everything in writing and made it very clear what I wanted.

Now my old $30 sero plan included a 25% discount - however when I called in and asked about EPRP (hoping I could keep my discounts/perks) they said I couldn't even go on that because my plan wasn't even sero. 2 different reps said this so I guess I just had a regular fair and flexible plan that was identical to sero which is why my corp discount never fell off.

The way I figured it I would have had to give up the plan at some point because if I didn't want the evo I would want something else in the future that wouldn't have worked with sero. I have got a great deal for so long and even now I am still getting a better deal than most.

Anyone still looking to dump sero I recommend echat and you can get it in writing. The rep informed me I would be able to keep ALL of my perks since I was just changing the base plan.

Perks include for me anyway
6 n/w
25% MRC discount
FIMF
2# unlimited any network
3# unlimited any network
1# unlimited any network (LD Promo)

now when the rep was confirming plan changes with me, he said the system would not allow the 6 n/w to be carried over. It was actually never suppose to be applied to my plan anyway since the perk was actually a family plan perk.

I said that was fine since I will have anymobile anytime plus I can program in 6 landlines now for unlimited calls. (I had some friends other cell #'s in there)

So once the plan change was done said everything else should remain. I looked online and it is all there except the 6 n/w which he informed me of. The 25% discount doesn't show up as a perk so I will have to wait till my bill to see if it is there but he said it is I'm not worried about it.

He also gave me a 1 time $10 credit. I didn't get a MRC credit since my line is actually still in contract. I have another work phone on a separate account that is not mine and I used that account to get the evo then did esn swap back to my # and put my work # back to where it was. I used my upgrade on the TP2 last fall.

Overall I am happy I guess, made the best of it. Would have been nice to get $20/24 but since I'm actually in contract don't have to much leverage.

My advice anyone dumping sero use echat to switch plans, get it in writing and like I said the only perk that didn't work was the 6 n/w which the rep made sure to ask me before changing plans.

Do the math...
the new SERO plan is minimum $60
the old SERO plan is minimum $30

If they "give up" $20 for 2 years... they've just made an additional $10 a month from you to provide you with less service AND got you to commit to another 2 years of giving them that money.

F*ck sprint and their you-can-use-this-phone-but-not-that-phone SERO policy. Next phone will be an Iphone or Android on another network.

And the fact that they are going to get rid of the restriction soon but charge people $10/mo for "Android" (a free mobile OS) and another $10/mo to pay for their network upgrades makes it even worse.
