Same issue here. Read the whole thread from beginning, looks like handful of others have had the same issue. No answer given, except for 1 person saying a reformat of his sd worked. Trying that now myself. Only issue I could see a reformat solving is some kinda conflict with an old build already there, but I totally wiped mine so....meh. We'll see. |

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [5/10] GPS NOW WORKING!
My phone doesn't seem to have gotten the memo about the GPS working, for some unknown reasons I can't get it to work.
I have tried GOOGLE MAPS, NAVIGATION and all other apps that required GPS to no avail. Any ideas or suggestions. |

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [5/10] GPS NOW WORKING!
A poster earlier stated that they found getting a GPS lock in windows before going to Android seemed to help the issue of long lock times.
I haven't tried this myself but it might be something worth trying.

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [5/10] GPS NOW WORKING!
I've been searching to see if there was a QuickGPS or similar program for Android and I haven't found one. That would be a great program for Android!

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [5/10] GPS NOW WORKING!
im having a stange issue with gps...updated to latest AOSP and initiated google nav/maps..gps icon comes on and starts but then it crashes and freezes the phone. this consistantly happens everytime a program calls for gps in using ASOP. I've wiped out any and every instance of all other android ports on my storage card and nothing helps..everything works perfectly with ASOP except that gps bug that kills the phone. as a test, i loaded up the latest sense 2.1 port and my gps locks on and works perfectly to find my location, but the os is too laggy and unusable so ASOP is the only port for me..i just wish that the gps problem is sorted out so i can properly enjoy this near perfect android port.

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [5/10] GPS NOW WORKING!
I'm fairly embarassed to post this, but I'm having the same trouble as sarcigon with getting the GPS lock to work.
I made sure I had a GPS lock in Google Maps in Windows Mobile working before I launched Android, but what happens is that while a program is loading the GPS unit, the program (and Android) itself freezes. I left the program alone for 15 minutes to make sure it wasn't stalling for a GPS lock, but the time on the Android watch on the top right corner never changed. I updated rootfs to latest version too. |
