To install Android OS all you need to do is install the cab... If you already have Android installed, and are confused about the GPS fix, then you do not need to reinstall, you only need to update your rootfs file.

Re: [CAB] Project Android Port and Startup Utility [5/10] GPS NOW WORKING!

I installed the auto-update and I opened Google Maps/Navigator. The only option I see is to use "Current Location", and it comes back within a minute with "current location unavailable".

How do I use the actual GPS instead of the "Current Location"? I don't see any options that would allow me to use the GPS and wait for a "lock". Thanks.

We need to get this stickied in lieu of/in addition to the old thread! No offense to any threads - I just want consolidated, up to date stuff and this one looks to be the best right now.

Does anyone know if the U.S. Cellular Rhodium has the battery meter working yet?

Looks like you got it! I ran QuickGPS in winmo, then did a GPS lock in Google Maps in winmo. After loading Android, and selecting "My Location" in Google Maps, it LOCKED in like 3 seconds. YAY!! Great Job Guys!=D>

did the same thing. Worked like a charm. I can now finally play Zombie, Run. This is the main thing I really wanted, was to play that game. Sweet.

Just so you know, this is why I say to read the first and second post before asking questions. The following is from Post #1:

Quote:
NOT WORKING IN THIS BUILD:
  • BT
  • Sound (in call mic and earpiece work, no ringtones or music)
  • Camera
  • Opengles: using software rendering for the time being.
  • Battery Meter
Do you see where your question would be answered already?
