Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [8/18] MORE SPEED!!!!!

I have tried both current builds and some previous ones. I have MaxSense as my ROM. When I run Android it loads but I get to Internet and the app store crashes. Ideas? I am sooooo close yet so far. Sigh.

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [8/18] MORE SPEED!!!!!

Great Job!!

I have one problem.
I'm not able to go to the internet or Market Place.
I've updated to the latest CAB, and even before I updated to this release this happened.

I'm going to fully reformat my SD card and remove all older versions of android from the root and see what happens.

Is there something else that I am missing?

Cheers,

Bill

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [8/18] MORE SPEED!!!!!

Success!!

I removed all of the old files and reformatted my 8G hcsd set it at 64K allocation unit size from 4K.

Replaced files back on card. removed or changed directory names of old android folders.

Reloaded. and when I selected Market Place it asked for my GMail account I entered it and it worked.

HTH others.

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [8/18] MORE SPEED!!!!!

I have been using this for a couple weeks now and I just want you guys to know how much I appreciate the work all of you have done. I was so sick of Windows Mobile, especially the lack of support for Google Voice. I'm stuck with the phone for another 8 months but having Android really makes it great to use. I hope this isn't a dumb question but when I loaded this, I put it on a SD card that was not my primary one. I was wondering if I can copy everything from the old 4gb card onto a freshly formatted 16gb card and expect it to boot up properly with all of the settings? Or is there more to it? Thanks again for everyone's hard work!! I am looking forward to getting the audio, camera and bluetooth working but I know these things take time and promise to be patient!

You sure can. I did the same thing upgrading an 8GB to 16GB card and all is fine.

Im using a titanium rom and everything seems to work better, clear your sd card and start from scratch and maybe try a titanium rom...ive been using the new build for days with no problems.

Re: [CAB] GSM&CDMA Project Android Port and Startup Utility [8/18] MORE SPEED!!!!!

I tried this on the Rhodium CDMA with Sprint, the startup has "force_cdma=1", but the phone still won't pickup the carrier (no signal). There is no SIM card inside either. What could be the problem?
