GPS dudes, please start another thread for this - seems it deserves its own, specially if it works!

I think we're going to have to fight to get a Mogul 2.0 for FREE, I'm betting they screwed up Mogul 1.0 and dont have a way to move the memory issue to accomodate more. I agree, the more I think about the TOUCH, the less I want it. I tried using that POS QWERTY keyboard on my mogul and it sucks!

Yeah I would never use a device that had no hardware keyboard.

But at the same time, something about the Mogul keyboard layout and design makes it the hardest to type on out of any of the other keyboard types I've used (sidekick2 + Treo).

Please... no more GPS threads unless a definite answer has been found. We've been through this already many times.

It's all I'm gonna say.

This is not going to help, it could very well backfire, it's not like he's going to be able to give you a different answer. Stop being a child and realize that things don't get done by people yelling at each other.

Guess what, if he gets a bunch of "Fuck You" emails, he's probably going to change email addresses, junk them all, or give a form response.

I totally agree with TalynOne, that being said, if you are able to articulate a clear and objective letter stating your disappointment in a defective product, then I encourage folks to make their voices heard. The key is to be professional about it and simply state "I paid $XXX for a product that was represented to do x,y, and z, and this product clearly does not do that."

If people are professional about it then it will reinforce the fact the consumers who bought the product are savvy, have real dollars to spend, and there is a potential loss to Sprint if they decide to take their business elsewhere.

I just wrote him:

Hi,

I’m sure you are aware of the many individuals who went out and bought the 6800 and are now disappointed to have spent anywhere from 300-600.00 for it not doing what it was promised to do (BT, GPS, lack of working RAM for applications, EVDO Rev A in 2007, etc). I hope that the plan for Early 2008 (January) includes us getting a new ROM with all of the cool HTC applications that the Touch has, as well as fixes and upgrades for the issues I’ve mentioned. Failure to do so or come out with a new version of the Mogul that does, will result in more than the uproar that already exist in the 6800 community. I’d like to know what you guys have planned for the 6800 come 2008.

Thanks,
-dmackdaddy

BTW, I got the email from here:

Anyone have a name and number of the VP in charge of the department that selected and "tested" the 6800? Home address would be fine too - I think an hourly deposit of flaming poo might get his attention as obviously all our posts, calls, e-mails seem to be getting filtered before reaching his notice.
