You will notice differences under HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Color/Theme* --- just open up mxipcold_wpc_2.provxml and compare.

Also the default .tsk files may have changed in the same registry keys as well. Open them up with a CAB editor.

no, im taking about where it wont let you set a diffrent ringtone, it cycles back thru all the ringtones and goes back to the default one and wont let you close the sounds and notifications window

Funny, I just logged on and booted up the kitchen to do that before I read this post. Great minds drink alike!

Thank you sir. I found one issue with the sys and not sure what file/s are missing. On pop up dialogs there is a gradiant in the background around the text and icon (if pop up dialog has icon) No big deal. Also when confirming yes no blah blah the dark gray on the buttons does not exist. Its just white with black text. Besides that it works fine.

The CDMA Touch Pro (Herman) XIP and Kaiser are booting fine, the CDMA Titan, CDMA Diamond (Victor) and Vogue XIP's are untested as of now.
I thank you each time, but now that you "included" the Kaiser XIP... Many thanks from me!!!!=D>

I am actually trying to pinpoint the cause of the issue, not the fix. Unless I missed something? But i guess it's possible I failed to understand the info you have given.

Any further info is still much appreciated and if I did miss something thus far, please feel free to let me know

Thanks again thus far for what you have found

Ensure you have the registry key for "LSOMACORE" in your XIP's boot.rgu. Just search this thread for the key mentioned.

Yes, that's exactly what I'm talking about, though the problem manifests itself in very strange and sporadic ways. I spent a week TSing this to isolate it to Savage 4.5, as I had switched from Merdin when Calk released 21812.

You can't save your sound settings and get "file can't be found or corrupt" but they do indeed play in WMP or Kinoma.

All I can say is try cooking your ROM w/Merdin or Savage v1.0 and you will see the issue goes away. My guess is its somehow related to bot Tachi and Savage being ported fro Rhodium, and some memory address gets whacked enough to cause the issue on BOTH Diamond and TP. I have a TP and I was frustrated as heck by this problem as the root cause for sound issues being tied to a SIP was the last thing I would have looked for or thought could created the problem
