Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition
Hey, this is a humble suggestion/request to all people here: You guys seems to be making roms in a great rush with builds coming out almost everyday, without even trying to discus even a word about the noticeable changes in the builds, does this makes any sense? I think we should atleast have one post about each build's changes, preferably posted by the person who is posting the SYS/XIP. What do you guys think?

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition
What do we lose using an 21728 XIP with a 21731 SYS file? What does the XIP file contain?
Thanks, Jeff |

On an unrelated note: Is it just me or do these two new releases takes a LOOOOOT of RAM to run? I'm getting 20mb free on my Herald on a completely stripped ROM. (Unless it's one of the modules that I've changed on the OEM itself...) |

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition
Ok, I'll try it again. After looking at the one I posted a little more thoroughly, I can see why it's not working. Hang on, I should have one up here shortly.
Update: Ok, this one looks better, and I have a feeling it will boot! Let me know.

Mainly coredll.dll which basically EVERYTHING uses. This is also where the version number is pulled from when you look at system info, so by using a 21728 XIP, that's what your version will say. There are also some other critical OS components in there as well, so it is always BEST to use the proper XIP, since some of the OS files may expecting something that an older XIP won't have. |
