My touch screen no longer works and I tried to fix it by re-installing the OS (6.1). Now I am stuck on the Align Screen screen where I need to tap in the middle of the screen.

I have tried mDesktop etc but they don't work on the app (it does work on the very first screen where it says Tap the screen to set up.... but not the next screen).

I can edit the reg with MobileReg Editor.
Hi mate
if your device/6.1 rom, uses welcome.lnk in windows\startup then try deleting the shortcut from startup\ via activesync or try this reg
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Welcome] "Disable"=dword:FFFFFFFF
then soft reset

No COM5 yet, but as has been mentioned, Windows mobile 6.5 will NEVER become Windows Mobile 7.0 so techincally, this is not progress to WinMo7 as that is an entirely different kernel and tree.

Your right, WM 6.5 won't become 7.0 but, I am assuming they add new features to 6.5 (as 6.5 was released) and features that they add to 6.5.1 is a good chance they will end up in 7.0 if they are good. I guess I am looking for newer updates and features. I won't buy a new phone till 7.0 phones come out (the feature set listed for 7.0 specs would have everything I need on a phone).

Thanks for the update and as always thanks for your work on here getting us the newest builds quick !!!!

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

Build 23071 issues today I built a rom a couple of days ago and so far it has been working fine. I have had to do 6 resets. I have not added any new cabs or made any config changes. Another issue is when I create a new email the SEND icon has been replaced with a REPLY icon. When I press the REPLY icon it does not send but goes to a REPLY message. This all started today.

Re: WM 6.5 Kitchen QVGA and VGA Developer Edition

Several of my 23071 test roms have had a glitch where they fail to "wake up" from a suspended state, requiring a SR.
Anyone else seen this? I haven't had this problem on any other builds.

i had this same issue with *71 and 69, but it only seems to happen when the screen is rotated, if its not then it would be fine. build *64 seems to be holding up good.

You are not the only one. If you look at few posts back quite few peeps have seen the same behavior. I have tried narrowing down the issue but I have not been successful yet. For the time being I suggest going back to 23064 as it seems to be very stable.
